Fiskars 12" 4 Claw Stand Up Stainless Steel Hand Weeder

Handle broke on first use out of box. Superglued it back on. Tried to submit a warranty claim and the site was broken and wouldn't let me upload pictures or submit the claim.

I bought this product just over 1 month ago and it was rather flimsy and already the foot pedal which was made of plastic has split, at the base of the shaft. I liked the product while it was working.

Great design, lousy construction. If Fiskar used metal instead of plastic at critical stress bearing points, this would be a fine tool, but my weeder broke at the plastic pivot I filed a warranty claim eight weeks ago and still no replacement or denial of claim. Fiskar shouldn’t put “Full Lifetime Warranty” on the hand if they are not going to honor it.

As several others have mentioned, the fulcrum (plastic part that you stand on) broke after a couple of hours of use. This should have been made of metal.

I was able to use this for more than a season, but the plastic piece broke and is no longer usable. I submitted a warranty claim. After all it has a life time garranty. I got a claim number but nothing else. They ghost you. A lot of youtube reviews cite that you have no worries...life time garantee. But, that means nothing if you're ghosted.

Product worked well and nice concept for 2 months, after taking out around 50 dandelions, the product plastic around the metal pinchers broke. We ordered a second one, and it DID THE SAME THING!!! RRRGGGGG!

Lasted two weeks. Like so many others here, the plastic parts broke. Perhaps plastic isn't suitable for parts at the end of a three foot lever?

Just bought this skeptical of results. Man was I wrong! This thing is easy to use, great results and best of all... no bending over! I grew up watching my grandparents and my mom spend hours weeding on their hands and knees. They always hated weeding and I never fell for the bribes to help because I always saw how much they disliked it. Pulled about 50 weeds in a very short time! Don't belive the videos where they say this thing doesn't work. Center the tool over the weed, push down(step on the arm if soil is hard),move foot off the arm, then just rock handle back torwads the arm... bam! 1 less weed! I bought as a gag gift for my wife...but it's totally mine!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The stand-up weeder is nice because it makes getting rid of weeds easier aka no need to bend down/squat. However, I do notice that water the patch the day prior softens the soil and makes removing weeds easier. So far it’s working well!

This piece of equipment is incredible! Dandelions be GONE! Highly recommend

Exactly as it's explained, this is dead simple to use and easy. Push straight into the ground centered over the weed, tip back on foot, until out of ground then eject using handle into bag/bucket/ground. Dry ground is typically harder soil which makes this hard, otherwise simple to use. Even can complete majority of the motions besides ejecting plant with one hand.

Got it over the winter. Starting pulling this spring and it does well. However, the plastic lever will break if you are working on tasney (sp). I hung it up in the barn and it fell off. The knob broke off too, I like it and it does work but it’s a little brittle for me.

Used a few times last year, but it broke the first time trying to use it this season. Like many others, the plastic base has broken, making the tool useless. The plastic bottom is also riveted together, so it is not even really fixable.

I used it 5 times and it came apart. The plastic is very week. I can't send in a warranty claim either. The page gives a product ID error. I can not find a product ID for this tool. I do not recommend it and I am very disappointed.

The foot plunger broke on the 2nd hard day of pulling many a dandelion. Great machine while it worked. The improper design or weak material of the plastic part make this comment more common than it should be. I returned it for a refund, but will buy another to finish the job and I will try to remember that it shouldn't be worked too hard

Tool broke after 3 uses. One of the claw came loose and is now lost

Was difficult in the beginning, but the more you use it it got easier, then the screw fell off and screwing its back on the eject button got stick and I started fighting with it. I continued to get hung up. I sent a comment to the buyer but never got a response back. It was great crabgrass plucker but broke soon after.

This is a great tool to have to pull weeds that you do not want to touch. For instance stinging nettle. I am using it to remove cactus in my yard (live in FL)

I hate weeding. The squatting and bending wrecks my back. I was intrigued when I saw this online. Fiskars is a great brand of scissors so I knew the blades would be sharp. It is so easy to use! Big or small, it pulls them all. One negative is that it pulls up some dirt too if the ground is damp.
