A: Hello naturalmama - Greay question! The floss picks are made with petrochemical products. The handle and floss are both traditional petroleum derived polymers. The products are not made with nylon or polyester. The UHMWPE2 yarn fibers used within Perrigo floss and flossers were tested and no PFOA was detected. Testing targeted 65 various per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) (including PFOA, PFOS, PFCA, other PFAS and their salts and related substances) with no detections. We've purchased these before but these are not the same. The floss is pulling apart and shredding with very little use, like flossing between two teeth and it's peeling apart. It even says on the package designed not to shred, break or stretch. Very disappointing because love to get this brand when I can. I would recommend paying for better ones.

Horrible Chemical Smell
I have bought these quite a few times, but this last time I had to throw them out immediately. The entire bag itself and all of the flossers in it had an extrememly strong, disgusting chemical smell. The quality of this item has gone down. I have used these floss sticks for a long time, but my last two purchases are low quality because the floss unravels quickly and easily. The pick is flimsy.
