This book relates the Department of the Navy's role in preserving the game and national morale through the "Lend-Lease" of officer candidates, including All-American players and professionals. It features a foreword by television commentator Beano Cook; 80 photographs and illustrations; a listing of all military teams; records, scores, and statistics of principal teams; player profiles; and a glossary of period football and military terminology.Book Synopsis
