The Mission-style geometric five post base of this lamp by Franklin Iron Works is very unique and optically engaging. The interlocking posts create a fun, optical effect. The cone shaped art glass shade gives this table warmth and classic beauty. Dual pull chains with square finials. The lamp comes with a tabletop dimmer, which allows you to control the level of lighting. Simply insert the lamp plug into the dimmer outlet, and then slide the switch on the control to dim or brighten the lighting.

Easily Broken Shade Expensive to Replace

I was delighted with the look of this lamp. It really completed our bedroom. But within months of purchase, while reaching over to turn out the light, my husband's knuckle struck the shade and it cracked at the top. A replacement was $35 (1/4 the cost of the lamp) and took more than 2 months to get. He installed it by adding a washer to the top in hopes of preventing this from happening again. Nevertheless, a year later, the replacement shade shattered in the same place with just slight contact. The replacement shade is again out of stock and can't even be ordered for another few week. Doesn't matter how good it looks if an annual replacement of the shade is needed. Plus the wait for the replacement leaves us with a bare lamp for months.
