Frigidaire's 26lbs Freestanding Ice Maker is the ideal solution for all your ice making needs. Its compact and contemporary design makes it easy to transport and stylish to display. 2.65 ice cube basket capacity. In just six minutes, you can make ice cubes for parties or to cool your drinks on hot summer days. Important: This ice maker is designed to produce ice, not store it. The unit does not keep ice frozen once it is made. To prevent melting, transfer the ice to your freezer promptly after it is produced. Maintain optimal performance by cleaning your ice maker weekly to prevent scale buildup, particularly in areas with hard water. Please refer to your instruction manual for details

A: It sounds like you have a high copper content in your water. Flush your icemaker with a nickel friendly icemaker cleaning product. Try using distilled/reverse osmosis water when making ice.

A: The area where the ice is placed after being made is not refrigerated or insulated. It is recommended that ice produced be transferred to zipper lock type bags for storage in your conventional freezer.

Love it, but...
I put the ice basket in the top of my dishwasher, and now it's melted out of shape. I've looked everywhere online and can't seem to find out how to get a replacement. Feel like I have a really expensive paper weight now, since it needs the basket to function.

Purchased this ice maker and loved it at first. Made great ice, easy to clean. Stopped working a year later. I expected much better quality from a product from Frigidaire.

We got this for my son for his college dorm. It’s great when you need ice as it makes it quickly. He’s had it for several months and has had no problems with it. We looked several places and Target had the best price.

Okay for less than a year.
It was a great product but died before 1 year. Then I got a replacement with the 1 year warranty and it lasted a little over a year so now I can’t even get a replacement with the warranty. Also impossible to clean
