A: Yes breaks quickly. Warranty process is difficult and no guarrantee that they will replace even though consumer has to ship it to CA at own expense.

I will say the only good thing about it is the ice, everything else is junk! After 3 months the indicator lights went out. It randomly shuts off and sometimes will take days to turn back on. I clean it once a month (like recommended) along with only using distilled water. Save your money or just plan to buy one every 6 months to a year. Worse thing, they won’t replace it even with the extended warranty we purchased! Wish we could give zero stars!

After just 6 months, this ice maker completely quick working. The lights would not turn on and it quit making ice. Target would not take it back. The warranty company wanted us to ship to them at our expense of $100. We ended up taking it to electronics recycling. Do not recommend.

DO NOT BUY!!!!! This was my favorite thing my water intake was up and i was loving my iced coffee. But today, after about 50 days it has decided it will no longer be make ice. I have cleaned it. I have unplugged it, made sure there was enough water, etc. but the best it has done today is make 5 nuggets in the span of 6 hrs

Frigidaire nugget icemaker is the worst icemaker out there! Do not buy! Bought in January 2025, it started dying in April, and by the end of May, it was screeching and making weird noises. Then it died and we are out $250 We cleaned it monthly with vinegar like you're supposed to still couldn't get the gunk completely out! I called Support and they said they could not replace.

Plug in the ice maker with power cord and pour clean water with nickel-safe detergent into water tank, and then press “ON/OFF” button OR "CLEAN" button if there is a Clean button for more than 5 seconds to enter the Self-Clean program. It can take 30 minutes to run the complete process of Self-Cleaning program. 2. What does it clean: It will clean the pipeline system and water tank. 3. When the cleaning process is over, please place the ice maker over a sink, and unplug the drain cap of drain hole in the bottom of the unit, located under the water tank, (or lower the drain hose if so equipped) and drain out the water and clean inside, and put back the drain cap into the hole in the bottom of the unit (or reattach the drain hose to its storage position). Then use clean water to repeat above process for 2 times.

Run, don’t walk away from this piece of trash! We have had episodic issues with noise but it was bearable. When the unit was 9 months old, it quit making ice. Cleaning did nothing. Filing a warranty claim was a joke. First, they wanted a total of five different photos. Then, they wanted a “video of it not working.” Okay, if that’s what it takes. After back and forth for three weeks with these people, they said for me to “safely package it” and ship it to them in California at my expense. UPS wants nearly $ !00 to do that (it’s heavy). After reading other online reviews, I realize other customers, after having done all those steps, still got no money back nor a new unit. I’ll throw it in the trash and buy a less expensive one. These are disposable units. Expect that they will last a few months and then you’ll replace them. Just buy the cheapest one you can find.

We've owned 2 of these machines. We thought that the brand name of Frigidaire would prove to be worth the price. That was foolish! The first one was loud, and would leave plastic shavings mixed in with the ice it was making. Luckily, we were able to find the purchase receipt and return it. The replacement was even louder. Living next to a SpaceX launch site would have been quieter. After a few months it got to the point where it was only making about 3 pellets of ice per day. We tried calling "Curtis International" to get help with our Frigidaire ice maker. Another joke! Go ahead, spend an entire day fighting your way through a phone tree just to speak to a person who picked up English as a 6th language two weeks ago. No help to be found there. By this time the origional purchase receipt had been lost, so no hope in returning it to the point of purchase. I already know what the reply is going to be from "Curtis International" - "We're sorry you had a bad experience... Please call us at xxx-xxx-xxxx to discuss your problems." Yeah, right. Already tried that. Please see my last paragraph. In summary - Learn from our mistakes. Time and money wasted. Much frustration endured. Don't travel this road, folks.

Better than our first countertop pellet ice maker because it was MUCH easier to clean than our last, but that is pretty much it. The grip on this ice bin took getting used to because it feels upside down, the scoop that came was the cheapest junk imaginable, and the final straw was that it quit making ice entirely a year and 11 days after we bought it, with indicator lights going out progressively leading up to it dying entirely. The fact that it doesn't automatically come back on after a power event was deeply irritating as well. I find this HIGHLY disappointing for the Frigidaire brand and even more so for the PRICE. I really hate having to find replacements for poor quality products these days since it seems everything is made as poorly as possible, despite the price tag attached.

This item broke and started leaking after 9 months. The manufacturer and target have not honored or replaced the product. Would not recommend it was great while it lasted but horrible experience trying to resolve this issue. Still trying to refund or replace without luck.

We love the ice this machine produces and the speed that it makes it. The unit is quite loud but we have gotten used to the sound. Unfortunately a couple months after purchasing this unit, the light on the button you touch to get it to make ice stopped working. So we can't tell whether it is in the mode to make ice or not, and we have to keep pushing the button and waiting for it to start running. Then it started making a horrific and loud sqeualing sound from time to time. Sometimes in the middle of the night. We have to unplug it and then try to figure out how to get it to turn on again. This would be nice to have to use for a party or big weekend, but we got it to replace the ice maker that is not working in our aging refrigerator. Not at all ideal for daily use.
