At first, when I just opened the bag, the smell was a bit weird, it smelled like some sort of medication, but I decided to give it a try, followed the recipe for making a poppy seed filling for a pie and it turned amazingly tasty and flavorful. Make sure to wash the seeds very well before using. It has to be boiled in water or milk for 1 hour to release all the flavor.

I thought i would try this product based on the term "organic" in its title. It has clearly been sitting around for quite some time. The taste was stale and the product unusable. I wish I had my money back
