These are excellent, very good. But.... the first time I followed the directions on the box. Doing it this way makes the whole thing warm. Traditionally, creme brulee custard should be served chilled, with a freshly torched carmelized sugar top. The second time I thawed them in the refrigerator overnight. Then I warmed them in the toaster oven at around 200 degrees, just enough to make sure they were thawed/warmed thoroughly. Then left to room temperature. Then put in the refrigerator for at least an hour to chill. Once the custard is chilled, then sprinkle with regular granulated sugar (not the big brown chunky sugar proveded in the box), and brown the sugar crust with a creme brulee torch, or broiler. Then it's perfect! Creamy and cool custard with a crisp delicious sugar top. For just over $3 each, you can't go wrong. They come in nice ceramic ramekins too!
