after initial testing of approximate 400 pages of documents i've found that this device far exceeds my expectations the speed of processing and quality of images is outstanding - and amazed that the processing speed provided for both side scanning when info on both sides of a page was present i'll be testing out on photos and smaller format documents - but expecting the same great level of quality performance

Well, i personally did not select this device; my IT guy found it for me. Mind you, I am a one man operation with one office to work within. I have tried to get the multi purpose printer/scanner/copier/etc (and actually have one) but its not as "complete" as this unit it. And lets face facts, "you get what you paid for" This time, I got the better side of this deal. And yes, i have had other "personal" scanners, easy to put way, fragile, and breaks if it accidentally hits the floor. You never have that issue here

I needed a replacement for a Fujitsu scanner that was more than a decade old. I spent quite a long time 'scanning' the options before settling on this ScanSnap iX1600. So far it has worked extremely well. There are a few functions/options that I really don't want (like cloud storage), but it's an easy solution. It is very fast. The footprint is quite small. It does all that I want and more. Plus, the price was quite acceptable.

Have been using a Snap Scanner M 1500 with Mac for many years and it's been great. The ix1600 is super fast, super quiet and very easy to set up on WiFi. Many quality settings for versatility. I scan all documents to Evernote for organization but not necessary with the cloud service.

I had bought a Fujitsu scanner many years ago, and it was never what I hoped it would handle: batch scanning loose papers. This scanned 40 pages of Japanese text in a minute, and the ABBYY OCR software's accuracy is superior to Acrobat Pro's. (ABBYY has been pioneers in OCR since 1983, so not entirely surprising.) I then loaded a stack of slightly curled 4 by 6 color photographs from the 1980s, which yielded color scans just as effortlessly. I can't believe that this thing works as well as it does, and I think it is worth every cent I paid for it.

I've had the Fujitsu S1500 for over a decade. I loved that scanner and it's abilities. When I had to finally replace my computer, also over a decade old, I discovered that Windows 11 didn't like my old scanner. I really didn't want to replace it but having done so, I am loving the iX1600. This scanner is fast and the fact that it's wireless capable is a new feature to me.
Very good looking, and a work horse!

I began thinking that hardware scanners were a thing of the past. There are plenty of phone based scanners. But when I looked at the hundreds of family photos that needed digitizing, the chore seemed onerous. I bought this scanner and I'm quickly reducing the amount to be cataloged. It was well worth the price.

Scanner looks great, nice tidy package. The quality of the print is poor even when set at the highest level. I use a scanner a lot and I would say it's an average scanner.
Good personal scanner.

The scanner was easy to install, scans fast and produces good quality images. I was glad that it easily scans to a folder on my laptop, and that changing the location of the folder was easy to change. Scanning in duplex or single side is also easy to select.

They dont get any better. Rock solid-and scan better. faster and easier than all others (we know as tried). We have 10 plus in our office -and other off site. Years ago we had 1 issue with one-and Fujitsu took care of this issue under warranty. After that-we were sold on them.

I bought this scanner to replace a sheet feed scanner I have used for about 7 years. This scanner is easy to set up and easy to use. It scans documents and business cards very quickly, scanning both sides at the same time. The quality of the scanned document is fantastic.

Not a techie but plugged this in and started scanning. The quality is great, I'm still amazed that it reads receipts and puts the $$$ amount in the name of the document. I need to watch some YouTube videos to figure out how to set up more specific folders on my computer but I'm very happy so far. Also it feeds crumpled up receipts perfectly if i just flatten them a little. I tried to feed a receipt that was handwritten with second printed receipt stapled to it and it didn't like that (don't blame it but it works so well I thought I would give it a try), anyway this thing rocks.
