They are simply from the same species. - although Grogu is known for their taste in frogs So while Grogu is learning Mandalorian culture, is part of a Mandalorian clan, wears pieces of Mandalorian armor, and is undergoing Mandalorian training, he's still a ways away from becoming a full-fledged Mandalorian. That is the journey the movie takes you on ! Grogu survived the Great Jedi Purge and was hidden away. Grogu was rediscovered by a remnant of the Galactic Empire after it fell, and became known to many simply as "The Child," during the New Republic Era.

Sent completely Wrong Pop - Received Grogu Macy’s Parade Pop instead. It was a gift for daughter and she was fine keeping it as to not have to worry about the return. But need to check shipping more carefully
