My son received this from a family member who almost certainly believed the toy would transform from a truck into the robot Optimus Prime. It doesn't. The statement "SEE ROBOT ON CHASSIS!" appears in tiny font on the front of the package. This is not the same as a clear disclaimer stating "THIS TRUCK DOES NOT TRANFORM INTO A ROBOT." Had the company admitted that, you can bet that many fewer customers would purchase this item. As for the truck itself, the cab is diecast, but the chassis, fuel tanks, wheels, etc. are not.
Does not transform

This item did not transform. It is just a model, not a Transformers action figure as we had expected.
Call this a “Transformer?”

This so-called 'Transformer' *is* what meets the eye. It appears to be a large-scale replica of the original Optimus Prime toy first released in the Transformers' hay day of the 1980's. However, upon close inspection of the toy, it has no transforming properties and is locked in the semi truck mode. In other words, the toy does not transform into a robot and is therefore not a transformer. It is a toy car, albeit a nice looking one, but nothing more.
