Q: Does this come with a mat (8x10 matted for 5x7)?

  • A: I received 4 of these and there isn’t no mat. I’m confused. Is there or isn’t there not supposed to be a mat inside the 8 x 10 frame that will display a 5 x 7 photo? The photos and the “highlights” and your comment above describe a mat. But no mat in my order and clearly others are having the same issue.

  • A: Eileen, there is actually no mat; the frame is 8x10 and "floats" pictures that are 5x7 (or smaller). By floating, I mean that there is the front piece of glass and then a thinner piece of clear plastic for the back and the picture "floats" in the frame. You can see the wall through it. It's a great frame but no mat.

Q: Don't understand how I'm supposed to hang this? The packaging has what appears to be a hardware of some sort. How does this attach to the frame? And then it attaches to the wall? Should include instructions?!

  • A: I have no idea what the hardware is for or how to use it but the plastic rectangular piece that snaps into the back of the frame has two little sawtooth shaped portions that you can use to hang the frame on your wall. The hardware is some kind of distraction.

  • A: Hello Brittany - Thanks for asking. Check out the carousel of pictures next to this frame on Target.com for a copy of the instructions and visual guide to opening and closing the frame. Basically, there are long tabs on one side of the back frame that you slide in and simply press the other side down so it is securely in place. Enjoy! - Matt

    Dangerous, not sturdy, easily falls

    Looks nice but easily knocked off the wall if you hit it or anywhere near the wall. The part in back of the frame that's supposed to hang on the wall is just small plastic teeth. Once I caught it in my hand as it was falling and the sharp metal cut my hand.

    Very cheap

    The floating photo falls to the bottom and does not stay in between the plastic and the glass. It’s very cheaply made and just does not work! I read the directions multiple times. Will be returning this.

    Styrene Sheet Scratches Easily

    I read the directions before attempting to use for the first time. I then used a Norwex cloth slightly dampened with water to clean the dusty styrene sheet. The sheet was then mottled and so scratched it looked like I had used a paper towel. I didn’t read all of the reviews but I didn’t see that this was an issue for others. The styrene was also hard to grab in the corner to pull back. I returned it.

    When my grandpa died, I used this frame to make a flat arrangement of pressed flowers from his funeral. I bought four of these at once and will eventually layer preserved flowers in them from each of my four grandparents’ funerals.     Simple, modern gold frame! Exactly as pictured. I would put 5x7 pictures in the 8x10 size, just to give the more floating picture vibe but an 8x10 also looks great!     Very fragile

    Pretty and simple but the glass is glued to the frame. The first day we put it up it fell down on our carpet and cracked down the middle. I bought replacement glass for it and when we went to replace it we discovered it was glued. We had to hammer the glass out. Pretty annoying.
