submitted by charlett - 3 years ago

Q: I'm assuming the metal parts that come with the frame are an easel, if so how do you use it

submitted by Rose - 3 years ago
  • A: This item doesn’t include an easel as it is intended for wall display as stated under product details. If you would like to display it on table top or ledges you would only have the option to lean the frame against the wall for support. - Jocelyn

Q: How are you supposed to put the insert to keep the picture in place together? One side will lock and then immediately comes undone

submitted by gmo - 4 years ago
  • A: Hi gmo - We want you to love these float frames! To remove float frame insert: 1. Unlock insert tabs by pressing in toward center of frame and lift up. 2. Lift insert up and pull away from frame. 3. Lift back sheet of styrene and insert image between styrene and front pane of glass. 4. Replace insert by first inserting long tabs under frame channel 5. Once in place, push in locking tabs for secure fit.   We recommend using a small piece of double-sided tape to keep the image in place if needed. Thanks for reaching out! - Philip

Q: Is the white mat included in this picture frame?

submitted by shc - 5 years ago
  • A: Hi shc – Thanks for viewing our frames! This frame is actually a floating frame, meaning it is two panes of glass with your photo pressed between the two panes. You can see through the glass to the wall behind the photo on all sides of the photo. There is no mat. Thanks for dropping by. - Anita

Q: what is the actual width of black wood frame....1/2 inch???

submitted by NC - 5 years ago
  • A: Hi Soft Blanket - Thanks for asking! The width of the aluminum profile is 0.39". We hope this helps! - Jerith

Q: "The 8x10 measurement is the dimensions of the photo area." Does that mean the entire frame only holds a maximum 8x10 image from side to side and top to bottom? So the photo used in the example may be a 5x7 floating in this 8x10 frame? Thanks.

submitted by Susan in Santa Barbara - 6 years ago
  • A: Hi Susan in Santa Barbara - We're glad you asked! The glass opening measures at 8x10, so it'll be perfect for any photo 8x10 or smaller. We hope this helps! - Gao

Q: Is the measurement of the entire frame 8x10? or just the area inside the mat where the photo will go?

submitted by Ally - 6 years ago
  • A: Hi Ally - Thanks for asking! The 8x10 measurement is the dimensions of the photo area. I hope it's a perfect home for your precious memories! Thanks for shopping on Target.com. - Dante

Cheaply Made

I purchased this frame with the intent to float an artwork piece from my kiddo. It didn’t work for this and based on the design, I intent to return it. The frame feels really cheap, made of more plastic than wood. It took me time to figure out how to pop out the clear piece to slide in a picture and this just led to a lot of fingerprints that would have to clean off before sealing it shut.

The concept is great with the clear glass but if you put a picture less than 8x10 the photo just falls and doesn't stay put no matter how tight you make it. Also getting the plastic part out to insert the photo is just impossible. Terrible design...

Odd frame, thin plastic. The backing is plastic and doesn't put enough pressure for the photo to hold against the glass of you're using less than an 8x10 pic

I don’t like the plastic backing - it’s hard to clean and easily shows contact of any kind. I couldn’t get pictures to stay in place without tape. It looks great when you finally get it together.

The glass was too loose so the item slipped inside and wouldn’t stay in place. I also had small shards of glass fall out when I opened the packaging for some reason so I’ve been trying to make sure they are all cleaned up.

The backing doesn't make the glass and the backing press against each other so you will have to use tape or something to keep your image in place, otherwise it will fall down in the frame.

It looks nice when hung, but the back part you close it with feels fragile. I wouldn't want to open it more than a few times worried about it breaking .I like the look and it looks nice for the price on my wall. Looks like the plastic frame that it is, but it's ok... so long as you don't need to open it often to replace photos inside.

Almost impossible to hang

Angela - 3 years ago, Verified purchaser
Pictures look cool in this frame. However, the clear styrene layer that you lift in order to stick the picture between it and the glass is scratched, and there’s no way to get rid of that. My biggest complaint, however, is that the depth of the frame, combined with the position of the sawtooth hanger, make it almost impossible to hang on the wall securely. A nail doesn’t work, and neither do regular picture hangers, because the depth is too shallow for the frame. I have not yet tried Command picture hangers, because they don’t have any clear picture hangers intended for sawtooth frames, and the fact that there is so much exposed glass on this frame makes another kind of hanger very obtrusive to use. I’m disappointed because overall I like the look of my art in these frames, but if you can’t easily hang a picture, there’s no point in buying an inexpensive frame.

Love these! They can take a second to get them perfectly done but once you master one they’re easy. I added a small piece of tape to the back of my photos so that they wouldn’t slide once I had them perfect centered.

Unhappy - 3 years ago
This frame is annoying. When you open it and place the photo, you need to put the frame back together to see if it is centered etc. If the photo needs adjusting, it is very difficult because the photo is not secured in anyway. Also the plastic sheet that holds the photo in place scratches VERY easily so be careful. And the claw hook used for hanging is in plain view and not hidden behind the frame. Very poor design on many levels.
