A: Yes! I painted mine and it turned out great. You can’t remove the glass from the wood though so you have to tape it to avoid getting paint on the glass.

I knew the light tone of the wood would not be harmonious with the medium-dark toned wood in my home, and I’ve been enjoying playing with more fun colors, so why not paint it pink with some leftover spray paint I had on hand! Except then I got home and discovered a slight hiccup: the glass is glued to the frame. I do not have the skills to tape off a wavy edge before painting, so, stubbornly committed to my vision, I smashed the glass out. I was okay with doing this, as I typically display things without their glass, so they can be fully enjoyed and not distorted by glare whichever way you move. Do I have more Band-Aids after breaking the glass than before? Yes. Do I have regrets? No, I love how they came out. I just wish they wouldn’t have glued the glass, and this is not the first time I’ve encountered this problem. There are different kinds of glass you can buy, such as anti-glare glass, and I think buyers should be able to easily switch out or remove the glass, if they want to.
