Might Have To Be Starving To Appreciate This
The "be'f" was an absolute NO, everything else was fine (it actually would've been much better without it). The be'f doesn't taste good at all, the texture is fine but the flavor is gross. I didn't even eat all of them. These things are expensive but it was BOGO Free at another store so I gave them a try since it was much cheaper than regular price. Glad I didn't pay full price. I wouldn't buy these again. They're small so you really do need the protein to get full....but the protein tastes gross

Excellent taste! Lots of 'meat'. You knew it wasn't beef because it was very tender and no gristle, so that is a win in my book. Wish it had more broccoli, but that's because I love broccoli. Anxious to try the other meals.

I tried to scarf it down
This was pretty bad. I think the worst part was the sauce I ate about 1/4th of it until I couldn’t take it anymore. It’s really gross. The be’f texture was like eating a hard clay. Rice and broccoli totally fine. But the sauce GAG (literally that’s why I couldn’t finish) and the be’f are horrible. The be’f in the be’f and vegetable soup has a much better texture, if you’re expecting that like I was beware it is not the same at all!

Be'f doesn't taste like anything
The rest of it (the broccoli, rice, and sauce) was on par for nuked stir fry, but the "be'f" had a texture that was almost like powder, and didn't taste like anything.

Great flavor
I don’t know why people say is salty! Did you guys change the recipe because that was not my experience at all!. The high sodium did scare me 😥 but the food was delicious! Perfect for a quick bite but not to eat it often, that much sodium is crazy lol

It was ok, I didn't really feel like the sauce paired well with the mix, and the "Be'f" didn't have much of a beefy texture or taste. It wasn't particularly bad, the taste was fine, but it didn't meet my expectations considering the other options out there

Mid at best.
The other three Gardein Ultimate bowl varieties are WAY better than this one. I found the “beef” bits to be weirdly sponge-y. The broccoli varies a lot. The first bowl I had was lots of florets and maintained some crunch. Other bowls were mostly stems. I keep all three other varieties on hand, and I’ve stopped buying this one — kind of a shame since it had higher protein. The sauce in this meal is SUPER good though.

Don't eat if you have high blood pressure
If you like your salt with food in it, this meal is for you! Constructive criticism: put the sauce in a separate packet so the consumer decides how much to add. Even the addition of plain rice and veggies to this meal was too salty.

Sooo salty!
I bought a pack of these in wholesale store yesterday. I should have looked at the sodium content before buying . The amount of sodium is unreal, and it ruined the taste. Besides the fact that all that sodium is not good for you. The remained 3 packages are headed for the trash.

Do not buy if you actually want to enjoy a decent meal
The broccoli was fine, nothing extraordinary. The rice also was just rice. The sauce was good considering this is a microwaved meal. But the only reason I gave this 3 stars was for the disgusting “beef” substitute that tasted and resembled dog food. I am plenty versed in vegan meat substitutes, and this substitute was by far the worst I’ve EVER had. Completely ruined my dinner and was literally inedible due to its texture and taste. In my opinion.

I absolutely love the way this tastes!
A few months ago I adopted a vegan diet since my partner is vegan and insisted on it as a condition for the relationship. After a lot of experimentation in looking for some quick frozen meals to replace the products I used to eat, I've decided that this Be'f and Broccoli bowl is now one of my favourite dinner items. The taste is amazing, it has just the right spice level (sometimes I actually cut up fresh Thai chili peppers and add them in to make it spicier), and the texture and taste of the be'f is pretty decent too!
