Have you ever picked up a book, paged through it, and immediately sighed in contentment? Something about this book -- from the texture of the cover, to the soft, muted pictures, to Christie's stories -- surprisingly filled me with a sense of peace and loosened my tense shoulders as I read through it. While there are some tips and how-to scattered throughout the book, it's not just for flower gardeners and wanna-be gardeners. It's really for anyone who craves beauty, connection, and healing. Maybe the closest you can get to gardening is visiting one tended by someone else. We can all benefit from beauty.

Christie marries her lyrical pose with her love of flower gardening and it's a beautiful sight to behold. Garden Maker is an invitation for all who love beauty ⏤ aspiring gardeners, seasoned gardeners, those who simply enjoy the wonder of God's beauty, and also, for those feeling a lack of connection and in need of a pause for the soul. The images alone are stunning and the gardening advice is spot-on. I especially appreciate how she shares the names of her plants so there's no guessing when it comes time to ordering my own. Garden Maker is a gift I'm giving myself but I also plan to buy it as a gift for fellow flower lovers.
