Q: Why does it list folate AND folic acid? Which is it? Can’t tell if this is safe for MTHFR mutation.
A: The Organics Prenatal Multivitamin contains Folate in a whole food form. We follow all current labeling guidelines, and for easy nutrient conversion, we label the product as 600mcg DFE of Folate, which is equivalent to approximately 360mcg of Folic acid. We recommend consulting with a healthcare provider to see if the product would be appropriate for your needs.

Q: Is the folate in this prenatal methylfolate?
A: Our Science Team has confirmed that our mykind Organics Prenatal products contain Folate, not Folic Acid. The Folate in our mykind Organics formulas is in a whole food form and is it coming directly from the Organic Lemon (peel) in the ingredients. It is the same as you eating foods and getting folate from them. The Folate in our products is not labeled as methyl-Folate; therefore, we cannot make this claim since we have not specifically tested for this form.
