Lovely plant support with simple assembly.
I've had one of these for several years and I love it. I received another as a gift and I am now ordering a third. I am surprised by some of the reviews. I have not had any problems with the assembly of this plant support it has not required anything to hold it together. Now that peony season is over I am putting my Essex Plant Supports to work for my dahlias.

Love these plant supports and would buy again & again!
I purchased these for my yellow columbine that robustly bloom but then flop over across my narrow garden path. I added these supports while my plants were in full bloom without harm. I was able to do the first couple by myself, but it was easier when my husband helped and handed me pieces as I assembled with one hand and held the blooming plant with the other. I would love for to take my Russian sage in the same bed. So happy with my purchase. Thanks Gardeners Supply! I also REALLY appreciate the shorter shipping timeframe as compared to the past.

I would not purchase this item again.
I purchased four supports; on small, on medium, and two extra-large. The supports to not remained fastened together unless they are modified.

Don't let "perfect" be the enemy of "good"!
I have used 2 XL Essex peony supports for several years side by side to support an enormous heirloom Festiva Maxima. They are a bit tricky to install, but work fine when wired together at several points.

Never will purchase again
I ordered the product according to the picture, which I have purchased before, but instead got a cheap ugly support that would not hold up my peonies.

Very nice plant stands
From what I've read it doesn't seem to me very many are thinking outside the box! The way I keep them together is by using zip ties. There are cheap and I replace them ever year.

Highly functional. They do the trick
The product is very sturdy. Yes, it's a bit tricky to install them and best to have a partner to assist. I leave the supports over the plant throughout the year so I only need to install once. This is a well-made product. I use them for my perennial Hibiscus, Baptisia, Gaura nd perennial Salvias. I have the Medium and Small but could use another pair of Mediums and a pair of Large; Unfortunately I have spent my budget for the year!

Would not buy again.
The pegs don't stay in their holes. Convenient for space saving, but would be a better item if it came fully assembled and the rings welded to the posts.

Beautiful, but don't stay together well
I've ordered several of these over the years, and they are lovely in the garden. My only complaint is that they are difficult to assemble without two sets of hands, and they come apart easily when bumped or jostled. They have lasted well through several years of use, but would love to see them redesigned somewhat.

I purchase the Essex Supports over and over again
I've used both the large and extra-large Essex supports for more than five years to support my many peonies as they grow and bloom every year. They are beautiful and enhance the garden rather than detracting from it as many support do. It's a bit tricky to install them and best to have a partner to assist. I leave the supports over the plant throughout the year so I only need to install once. This is a well-made product and sturdy as heck.

Purca
Purchased several of these supports for my peonies. I Ike several others was frustrated and was ready to give up. AND THEN I READ THE DIRECTIONS.. It said you need two people to set them up. I rounded up my friend. In 20 minutes all five supports were up and the peony stems were surrounded by the supports No more peonies lying sadly on the ground. I need purchase one more Thank you ABP Rockland County NY

Well-designed
The medium Essex plant support is well-designed and built. We are adding tiny zip-ties to the three intersections of the lower ring and vertical posts, so that I can move the supports more easily. I plan to utilize the curved ends to hang netting as a deterrent to the deer, who find my petunias to be exceptionally yummy. The supports were individually packaged in separate boxes by the manufacturer and both boxes were well-packaged by Gardner's Supply. The large box arrived undamaged despite UPS's penchant for trashing shipping containers.

Worst product I ever bought from gardeners supply
This is a terrible product. Very hard to install the clasps and they fall off constantly. The Titan peony hoops are a better alternative.

Love them!
Put these up to help support my growing dahlias. Very sturdy and attractive design. I put in two large ones by myself without issue. Just have to put in two legs opposite each other with the lower ring, push in most of the way and then add the other two legs. Then place the top grid. Very pleased and looking forward to them supporting my dahlias!

I couldn't install these properly
I could not install these in a satisfactory way. They kept falling apart as I tried to install them. I could push the stakes down straight or I could line up the rings but I couldn't do both at the same time. I eventually attempted so many times I couldn't try anymore because there were too many stake holes in the ground. By the time I got the stakes deep enough I could never get the rings to stay in place. I was really looking forward to these but I am disappointed. They're pretty, but now they're just going to sit in my basement.

I'll be buying more of these
my Mississippi Gulf Coast front garden has been stripped by winter freezes, but will be covered before long by a jungle of flowering plants, all of them trying to take up as much room as possible. these plant supports will help me keep large and vigorous salvias lifted upright without falling over into the yard or onto other plants.
