The tongs allow you to easily pull the whole root ball-filled soil in the Growease seed tray. The tongs should just come with the kit.

If you make soil blocks this is the best tool to lift individual cubes out of the tray without breaking up soil. A game changer for me. Sharp enough to cut straight down when soil sticks together.

This is the first time I have started seeds under grow lights. I am using the self-watering trays from Gardeners Supply which really made the process so easy. When it came time to transplant seedlings to larger pots, these tongs made the job so easy and free of frustration.

I love to garden and start seedlings but I always had my husband or friend help me transplant too a larger pot before putting them the ground. Now I can do it by myself. I still need help putting it in the ground, but it's so nice to be able to repot them myself

This device is ridiculously expensive and costs double the price when shipping is added. It certainly doesn't work as the video shows. Use a spoon, it works as well and doesn't crush the seedlings.
