Moldy within a week
This filter does a great job at blocking odor except that it was covered in mold after just a week of being used so pretty bummed about that.

Don't really notice a difference with or without a filter
I recently purchased a countertop compost collector and thought filters would be a good idea. I can't say I really notice any smell with or without the filter, but what I do notice is the mold growth on the filter. So I think I will do without going forward.

I would buy this product again.
I haven't had it very long but am pleased with it so far. I especially like the fact that it fills the holes in the lid of our crock, to keep any little knat critters From joining us in our kitchen.
