Lots of features, some hard to figure out
Watch is great when it works. The red start/stop button sometimes required as many as 15-20 presses before it will activate. Talked to someone online and was told to soak it in warm water for 10 minutes. That helped some, but still a problem. Excellent battery life, but big and heavy.

Awesome Watch!!
I recently switched from my Fenix 5 of 4 yrs to the Fenix 7X Pro Sapphire Solar and couldn’t be happier. Note: If you have or are currently considering tattooing your wrist you may have to purchase an epoxy sticker and place it over the heart rate sensor to get it to work properly. I did in fact do this and haven’t had a problem since… just a heads up for all you tatted up folks.

Awesome features
Well worth the money my brother Inlaw has been in the service for over 2 decades and has always had a Garmin and came highly recommended in his and brothers behalf. Really enjoy the fact that it keeps track of all of my daily activities and sleep patterns able to link it to my bipap machine, bike and pickup for all maps and grate for outdoor activities not to mention hiking trails aswell. Best watch I’ve ever invested in highly recommend it

Great features, great service, reliability issues
I golf, ride, spin, swim, lift and walk. The watch provides so much valuable data. Garmin supports has been great. Sadly the sensors go haywire after a year or so. My altimeter went haywire a year ago showing me at -8000’ or +10000’ at the same location. Bike rides suddenly had 190,000’ of elevation gain, etc. It was promptly replaced under warranty. Then a couple months ago it was recording HR of 230 (my max is 185) and the altimeter went nuts again. Great service, another replacement, but I’m worried about the pattern and what happens when the warranty ends.

Another great release that is priced right.
My old battery died and this was a lifesaver because if Garmin does not track it nothing happened.

Awesome upgrade!
I finally decided to upgrade from the fenix 3 HR...why did I wait so long? There are so many new features, activities and performance feedback. I really like the flashlight feature, although I haven't used it yet, will be handy in a pinch sometimes. The touch screen is a nice feature to access features and information. I find the default watch face is great and customizable to the info I readily use. One of my favorite features is the many more built in activities...way more than my 3 HR. The battery life is also pretty amazing with the solar feature helping to extend. I'm still learning everything this watch can do, but absolutely happy with it. If you are active outdoors and been thinking of a highly functional sports watch I highly recommend the fenix 7X Pro.

Great Watch
Bought it about 1 month ago now to replace an iwatch due to battery length and stuff that tracks what I am doing better. I will not go back to an iWatch in the future, unless Garmin has a collaboration.

The only watch I’ve ever worn 24hrs
I previously bought a used fenix 6 to check out what Garmin has to offer. A month later I was sold and upgraded to the fenix 7 solar sapphire. Since the 6’s bezel was scratched but the glass was intact I knew I had to get sapphire. Anyway, the size is perfect, I charge it everyday and battery drops 4-9% depending on the activity. Gps is so accurate, I hike a lot and compare it to my friends Galaxy watch, and we are always so off since I get every detail and turn and hers is “approximate distance”. The looks of the watch is also so clean. I’m not sure if the 8 will give me more than what I already get from the 7. But as of now 10/10

More than expected
This is my fourth Garmin watch, and I am amazed at its capabilities. I’m old, and it is much smarter than I am, but it is intuitive enough for me to see what I want. I don't feel like I've scratched the surface of what it can do.

Love the Fenix 7x pro sapphire solar
I’m not much of a review writer, but this watch is awesome. The battery life on it is incredible. I’m still trying to get used to all the features, but so far it’s awesome

Great Versatility
Got this watch a few weeks ago and it really does everything I need. Some of the interface with iPhones could be a little smoother, but the accuracy, quality and versatility are awesome.

Less user friendly than I was hoping for
I came from an Apple Watch background. I feel like the minority in my friend group, but I found the ease and user-friendliness severely underperformed the Apple Watch. For example, I have to make 5 button pushes to start a timer, whereas on Apple Watch I can use Siri to say “5 minutes” and boom- it’s done. You also have to make several button pushes during weight lifting for your sets which I don’t love, and I feel like this forces me to pay more attention to my watch than the workout itself. I exercise by running, biking, and weight lifting, and, outside of the excessive button-pushing, I found that the fenix captured those needs just fine. The battery life is fantastic. The sleep tracking is great as well. For me personally, I realized I used Siri and my Apple watch to text/call much more than I had thought. However, outside of the battery, I personally think the Apple Watch performs above and beyond in terms of ease and user-friendliness.

Garmin is king
The Garmin effect is real. If you’re willing to hit the wall running, this watch will take you further than you think you’re capable of. I went from running one half marathon a year to completing the Leadville100. Garmin doesn’t motivate you with fluff, it gives you data, discipline, and confidence. If you’re serious about endurance, performance, stats and progression, Garmin will come in clutch. Lol, Yes a watch motivated me to train harder and become better!

Not for me
I received this as a holiday present, but returned it. I found the display too dim, the software too complicated and difficult to learn, and the size too bulky. Also, the GPS and mapping features are not necessary since they are a duplicate of what is already on my phone. The solar charging feature is not necessary for me and I believe it reduces the display visibilty. This watch is probably geared more for the ultra-endurance athlete (not me!)
