However, most "horrible" experiences with this port are caused by two specific issues that are easily fixed.     Provides all the information I need. I've been using Polar recording devices since the early 90's. The last one of that brand died a week ago, so I decided to move to Garmin, because I'm not in compatition anymore.

    Perfect

    I love the Garmin watch; besides being beautiful, I find it very accurate in tracking activities. There are just two points I think could be improved: the first is being able to see the time during a workout. Another detail that could be improved is the charging—it should be inductive, as I’ve had a lot of trouble with the charger—but I think the watch is fantastic.

    Watch Face

    I had a Forerunner 45 for several years and moved up when the 45 started to act wacky when tracking runs and bike rides. Usually, the 45 would lose distance from the activity that I knew all too well. Now I have a Forerunner 55. So far, so good as to functionality. I am simple and an older runner. It took me 2-3 weeks to find a simple watch face that met my needs. All I wanted was heart rate, date with day, month, and year, calories, and steps. I am still not satisfied with the selection. I was willing to pay, but nothing that "simple" was available. I even contacted one of the developers about the older watch face that I had on my 45, without a response. The old face watch, though advertised, doesn't load. "Watch" out for PixelPathos Crystal version. It does not load!

    Good overall fitness watch

    Easy to read, accurate on distance and heart rate for running. Only reason it’s a four is it sometimes wants to start a program I don’t want. Always have used garmin and they hold up over the long haul.

    I bought this a while back,(several months) I just got it out of the box and started to use it. I can't get the color background changed. It is much more cumbersome to use than my previous garmin. I went back to using my previous garmin. I am extremely disappointed and will probably will not buy another garmin!     Not designed for walkers.

    I bought this watch on June 3, 2026. This was not the watch for me. I never got it past the time. Nothing else. This watch was made and designed for runners. I couldn't find the step counter. Company told me I could use the watch. Returns had to be done within 14 days.

    Great watch!

    Greatest watch I’ve ever used. I use it everyday for track and xc as a high school athlete and it’s amazing. It’s waterproof and the screen won’t scratch. Theres many settings for different preferences. I use the Forerunner 55 and I love it!
