Forerunner 55 review
This is a great watch for someone that is new to running and like to keep things simple. One of the main reasons I pick this one is how simple it is with out a ton of apps I don’t want this watch allowed me to focus on my goals that’s most important to me. And with the app it works so well together. Also love that I can go over a week without having to charge it makes things so much easier. If you are one that cares a ton about health and performance and doesn’t want a ton of unnecessary apps like other watches give you this is the one for you.

Awful
After an extremely tedious setup, I realized this product is for runners. ONLY. Not the fitness watch I thought I'd bought. There is no reversing options, once it thought I was "running" there was no way to reverse it. Definitely not. Going back.

Overpriced
Not a good watch for the price, feels and looks like a cheap watch. Only good thing going for it is the HR and GPS

Forerunner 55
Perfect size and style smart watch. Use it for tracking workouts, steps, sleep, and many other features. Great to be able to see notifications and messages even when phone isn’t around. For the price and technology it’s a great Garmin starter watch.

Decent watch. Definitely feels like a downgrade from my instinct solar 2. I hope this one lasts longer. I had to replace my instinct solar 2 and couldn’t justify paying the price every two years. I miss my old watch but this does a lot of basic functions. It has a solid battery life and tracks workouts pretty solid. It feels well made and hasn’t broken on me yet. I don’t think I’d buy it again but that’s mostly a garmin issue.

Amazing battery life
I own the newest Apple Watch, have had Fitbit and some other knock off fitness watches and they do not compare to this one. The battery life is INSANE… I charge it once every 14-16 days. For that it surpasses any other watch I have owned.

Disappointed
I have had it less than a month and it has stopped working. It seems to be frozen. Was really excited in the beginning.

Hand-me-down from teenage son
My teenage son upgraded his Garmin Forerunner 55 watch with one that has more triathlon features and asked me if I wanted his old 55. I told him I’m not a runner, but he said you can track more than running. So, I’ve been wearing it for almost four weeks and LOVE it! It tracks my time on the elliptical, walking, weights, etc, heart rate, steps, stress, etc. It even has routines for stretching, dumbbells, and yoga. This is not just for the young!

verstile and durable
I bought 3 for my family and each of us has customized it for our specific needs. We've been able to reach step goals, practice better sleeping habits, & set up/monitor high/low abnormal heartrate alerts that remind us to focus on stress-reduction practices. Paired with the app it has helped us keep active and engaged with each other's location and activities. The 'Challenge' section keeps us in touch with relatives. It works well in the pool and shower; just be sure to let the wristband dry thoroughly before putting back on, sensitive skin may get a temporary irritation rash. My Autistic Teenager has embraced this tech with enthusiasm, although there was a slight learning curve. They especially like the 'live track' option, because they are ready to practice independence in their surroundings, but understand we need to make sure they're safe. They use the 'find my phone' feature, 'notifications' for text, and the weather/calendar options to accurately prepare for their day. The Downside: the bluetooth connectivity can be faulty in and out of water, just start your activity before heading into the pool or hot tub. Battery life is decent, just keep an eye at 10% or lower because you might not hear or feel the vibrating beeps. Speaking of vibrations; I have nerve damage on one side, and I cannot feel the vibrations on the wrist; so I wear it on the uninjured side. If they could up to vibrations and solve the disconnection issue, I'd give it a 5.

Forerunner 55
I bought this a few weeks ago to replace my Forerunner 45S. I was a bit apprehensive because technology and I don't always play well together! But it is easy to navigate and it is fun to wear.

Lousy watch
Very disappointed. This was given to me as Christmas present. It counts steps when it wants to - no where close to reality. Instructions are poorly written. No information regarding what to do if you have a problem. It does keep time and that is about it.
