Book Synopsis

Three exciting, self-contained stories that further explore these classic heroes and expand upon the continuity of Mad Cave's ongoing Gatchaman series!

Ken goes undercover to infiltrate an underground gambling ring where martial artists from around the globe fight to the death. There, the winners are captured and brought to a secret Galactor recruiting base. If they refuse to join, the captives are dropped in the jungle and hunted as prey for Galactor's training program. Can anyone make it out alive?

Meanwhile, an elite squad of motorcycle-riding death bikers have successfully hijacked an armored train transporting experimental International Science Organization tech. These thieves are fast and ruthless--they carry out their orders with razor-sharp efficiency. The only thing in their way is Jun the Swan and her G-3 Sonic Car mecha.

Lastly, Ryu finds himself on a high-seas oceanic adventure to defend his harbor and its citizens from an attacking group of scavenging pirates!

About the Author

After studying film and illustration at the Art Center College of Design, Tommy Lee Edwards took the comics industry by storm with his illustrations on such titles as The Question, Marvel 1985, Batman, and Turf (with co-creator Jonathan Ross). Proving to be one of the most respected and versatile artists working today, he has also designed video games like Command and Conquer, James Bond, and Prey. Beyond illustrating countless pieces for books, merchandise, magazines, and posters, TLE perhaps feels most at home putting his imagination and storytelling flare to the test as a conceptual designer, storyboard artist, and director for film. He's collaborated with the Hughes Brothers as the concept artist on their Denzel Washington epic The Book of Eli, and has also contributed to the design of many productions including Akira, Masters of the Universe, Harry Potter, Superman Returns, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Batman Begins. Microsoft's award-winning The Random Adventures of Brandon Generator utilized all aspects of storytelling technique, with TLE creating the ground-breaking interactive animated web-series from a script by Edgar Wright. TLE just directed a music video for David Holmes' new band Unloved, and is currently developing an animated tv series with Film Roman, while writing and directing a multi-media film/music/comic series with Ed Banger Records called Vandroid.

A multi-talented comic book artist who has done work for Glénat editions, Marvel Comics, Aftershock Comics, Boom, IDW, and Image.

Steve Orlando has written for every major American comic book publisher. His works include the Eisner-Winning LOVE IS LOVE (IDW Publishing), as well as the Eisner-Nominated OUTLAW TERRITORY (Image Comics) and RAINBOW BRIDGE (AfterShock Comics). Outside of comics publishing, Orlando has written for and been featured in HELLO MR as well as NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC magazine. In animation, he worked with Man of Action Studios on the fourth season of BEN 10.

Mindy Lee is an artist from Los Angeles, USA, who has enjoyed an extensive and varied career in the entertainment industry. Her first professional medium was video games- working as a Storyboard Artist at High Moon Studios, a Concept Artist at both Carbine Studios and Pandemic Studios, and a Senior Concept Artist at Amazon Games Studios. Alongside this, Mindy worked in animation- as a Background Designer for Warner Bros. Animation, a Background Artist for Elation Studios, and a Character Designer and Layout Artist for 6 Point Harness. Now, she's bringing her experience and talent to the world of comics- most recently as the co-creator and artist of BOUNTY, and the artist of CRIMSON LOTUS, both published by Dark Horse Comics.
