Q: Is this suitable for use in an oven?
A: Yes, but verify what you have by looking at the old bulb in your oven. We have a 4-year old range with two electric ovens and each contain one of these bulbs behind a transparent shield. Still going strong after 4 years.

Q: Will this work in a Lava Lamp?
A: Yes you can. You might even check the bottom of your Lava Lamp. Some info labels mention to actually use an Appliance Bulb.

Q: can this bulb be used in electric oven that came with a sylvania 40 watt, 130 volt appliance bulb
