Q: How often does the Opal need to be cleaned/descaled?

A: Descaling is recommended for removing hard mineral deposits and should be performed every 4 weeks, depending on water hardness. Sanitizing is recommended 4 times per week. If using tap water, the cleaning schedule may need to be adjusted based on hardness of water.
