The shampoo lathers well with nice scents. The conditioner is another animal. Some of the lighter conditioner pods lather ok. The heavier duty conditioners refuse to turn into a lather. They are more like chunks. You may want to grab a small conditioner bottle and just use the shampoo pods when traveling with these.

I have been buying these for at least 5 years & they are amazing for traveling or even just normal use at home! Each one though different, makes your hair & scale feel cleaner, softer, smoother & healthier. Less plastic means less waste being a pollutant to the earth so I'm all about products like this! Each one has a little hook so you can conveniently hang them up in the shower, which is super cute! I'm glad these are at Target now instead of waiting for the mail. If you go to their website they will send you a plastic bag to put your empty packaging in to send back to them which is their recycling program, it is worth checking out to earn points!

The scent is great and the options seem endless for meeting your hairs needs. I do notice like there is a lot of product in one little container, so it creates a lot of bubbles and it takes a lot of time to rinse out. I would recommend making even smaller packages, or putting a few smaller pieces in each package. For me using them I’ve been tearing pieces off and getting multiple uses from one package.

These water activated shampoos and conditioners are really cool and smell good! They actually made my hair feel so much lighter and softer and I might start using them! My only issues are the price is a bit high and I wish there was a bit more conditioner in each dose because I have a lot of hair!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have mixed feelings about this product. Let’s start with the good. I like that this is a travel friendly product and super easy to use. It’s a solid so no having to worry about liquids with tsa. They’re recyclable which is a must but they could do better with a more environmentally aware packaging. The bad, they claim they don’t have extra stabilizing ingredients due to it being a solid formula yet do not state what those are. This product also contains sulfates which i find unnecessary. I found the shampoo to be very easy to use and work into a creamy formula. However, with the conditioner, I had a very hard time reaching the same consistency. There was just big chunks of hard solid pieces that would not break down. I did not feel that the conditioner did any thing for my hair whatsoever, but I did enjoy the shampoo. They did say that your hair may require more than one single pod however, even with that the formula would not break down. So I don’t think it’s something I would use again. I would consider continuing to utilize the single shampoo versions as it’s travel effective, but it could be made so much better and as I said, since it’s not so free it really want to put up the top of my list. It’s a great concept still needs fine-tuning better ingredients more recyclable maybe even biodegradable reusable options for packaging and a reformulation for the conditioner unless I just got a defective version.

I was a bit worried about how a water activated shampoo and conditioner would work - especially because I double shampoo. I found both pods to have plenty of product and left my hair feeling very soft after hair wash day. My hair also felt super voluminous after air drying it. I did deduct one star due to the amount of plastic in the packaging as each pod is individually wrapped but overrall it’s a great product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently tested the Gemz “Want It All Variety” Kit and I was excited to try such an innovative and unique product. The kit contains 11 single-use, water-activated shampoo and conditioner pods in several different of formulas. There is truly something for everybody, and a great way to switch up your hair care routine without committing to a full size bottle. These pods are compact, sustainable, and perfect for travel. The shampoo worked great! I used the Touchable Soft Shampoo and was impressed with how easily it lathered and how soft and shiny my hair felt afterward. I did need two pods to cover my long hair, but I expected that. Unfortunately, I did run into issues with the conditioner. I tried the Quick Blow Dry Conditioner, and it wouldn’t dissolve at all, no matter how much I rubbed the pod under water it just kind of turned into small cloth-like chunks. I even tried a second one to make sure it wasn’t just a faulty pod, but I continued to have the same issue. I did my best to use what I could, and while the final result still looked decent, it isn’t worth it to me if none of the conditioners work properly. Overall, I love the idea behind this kit, especially the variety, the sustainability, the portability. My hair did look soft and shiny after I let it air dry, but it needs moisture so this wouldn’t replace traditional conditioner until those pods dissolve better. I’d still recommend giving this kit a try if you are a beauty love and enjoy trying new products. It can be a game changed for travel , especially if they improve the conditioner formula. It’s a cool innovation, just needs some tweaks.

While I appreciate companies trying to do something different I feel like this isn’t something I would keep using or purchasing. I use a lot of conditioner for my hair and I don’t feel like it made enough product from one bar. The shampoo and conditioner both lathered well when wet. I’m not sure if this is sold as a set or what the price is but you don’t get very much product so I can’t imagine I’d pay much for it and the amount of packaging it uses is not very economical. A bottle of something would cost less and last way longer. However, the one instance where I could see this being very helpful is when you need to avoid liquids or bottles such as on an airplane or backpacking.
