Bonnie Bullough, RN, PhD (1927 - 1996) was a professor of nursing at the University of Southern California, a highly regarded sexologist, and a cofounder of the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality. She helped to develop the first Nurse Practitioner Program in California at UCLA in 1968. Throughout her career, she edited or wrote thirty books as well as 112 published articles. She was the winner of the Alfred C. Kinsey Award among other awards and honors. Vern L. Bullough, PhD, DSci, RN, the author or editor of over fifty books and an internationally recognized sexologist, was the founding director of The Center for Sex Research at California State University, Northridge (CSUN); professor emeritus of the History Department at CSUN; and formerly dean of social and behavioral sciences and a distinguished professor at the State University of New York College at Buffalo. After retiring, he served as a visiting professor at the University of Southern California from 1993 to 2003. James E.
