Q: Is there a reason that this product went from 20W shared power between the USB-C and USB-A ports, to 12W? I bought this last year, and saw that the version that I bought was 20W, and now it's 12W.

A: Leona, thank you for your question. There doesn't appear to be an official explanation from GE about why the power output of the GE model 85874 USB charger was reduced from 20W to 12W in newer versions.

Many new products use usb c but I still have plenty of usb a. I am not sure I understand the point if the angled plug but I appreciate it being flat so if something is in front of I also like how the outlets are spaced and at different sides to make it easy to put multiple devices. I do with the cord was a tad longer and there was something on the back to make it easier to put in the wall. Many other serge protectors have spaces for it to sit on screws.

This beauty ended up arriving just in time for me to test it out. It charges items fast. I kid you not! I love the fact that it has three spots to plug things in, plus a USB-A and USB-C ports. I love the fact that is has USB plug as well which opens up more opportunity to use the regular for other things. The braided cord is better looking than a regular cord and also the plug part of the cord is flat so it’s not poking out of the wall to much. Over all love it.
