Taking harsh laxatives is almost never a good approach, so going ahead and taking stool softeners to avoid laxatives is much easier. These were easy to take and caused me no problems. They performed exactly the way they should.

That is why it does not cause the cramp. It takes up to 72 hours to be effective. If you have mild constipation, this is good one to start with. They are easy to take and provide the “assistance” needed. Be patient and don’t stack doses or you will regret it. Gel capsules are recommended, in my opinion, as liquid form typically has an unpleasant taste and texture.

Thank goodness I got this voxbox from influenster a few days prior. At that time it was a gift from the angels. Man was my tummy hurting and of course I needed to go. BAD!! But like many others that just was not happening at that moment. So I got out the Phillips' stool softener liquid gelcaps. I took 2 of those bad boys just like the instructions said with water. Within hours I was off to the ladies room! Gosh was that a relief!! I was terrified that there was going to be cramps and discomfort and all that yucky stuff like with other stool softeners or laxitives, but to my amazement there was no discomfort what so ever! So from here on out, Phillips' stool softener or any other stool product will be the only thing allowed in my home for that problem! Thank you Phillips!

But recently, I finally had a need for this stool softener. The pills are small and easy to swallow. I took them, and it was a bit before they finally worked their magic. I was pleased with this product. Hopefully, I won't need it again but if I do, I'd use it again.
