Thick skin and heartburn
I like the flavor of the sausage. However, the skin was too thick and it was not edible. After eating the sausage, I had the worst heartburn and gas. Unfortunately, for these reasons I can’t recommend this sausage.

This is my favorite chicken sausage out of all of the Gilbert’s options! It’s has that pepper flavor, not spicy, that is offset by the onion. It is savory not sweet! Enjoy with rice or your favorite veggie! Quick and easy summer meal idea! I also like to grill them on my Ninja XL!

The best! So good with breakfast or anything really–very versatile. As someone who does not eat pork, it’s so hard to find truly pork-free sausage so I appreciate this brand for using a pork-free casing. This is definitely my favorite flavor, perfect amount of pepper & onion flavor. Not too sweet like some other flavors. Try it!!

If you feel a crunch it's probably bone
This was my FAV sausage i bought it for a year. I don’t know why.. but all of a sudden my recent purchase had little pieces of BONE inside it. I was eating & hard stuff was in my sausage. I spit it out when it hurt my teeth and literally dissected it and there were little pieces of bone. Unfortunately I know I wasnt the only person who came across this issue.. I hope that they fix this issue soon 😭

The taste was great but it was like eating it inside a rubber casing.
The taste was good, but I could not get past the casing on these. It was like rubber, and didn't snap like a normal casing, you had to tear it. I guess if you cut it up and put it into something or removed the casing it would be great but that's not the point of these. So I definitely would not get these again. I did find some awesome chicken ones after this.
