Calling all fans of romantic Christian suspense. Kate Angelo has a compelling story that you don't want to miss! Luna Rosati's determination to find the daughter she gave up turns to devastation when her only link suddenly disappears and she's forced to accept help from the one person she wants to avoid! Realistic characters and a riveting plot kept me turning the pages, but my favorite part was the faith message in both Luna and Corbin's stories. Their moral compasses may have altered, but second chances were possible! Angelo's source of inspiration? Luke 15:3-7 reminds us that our Heavenly Father is always seeking His lost children. Kidnapping, evil, and betrayal---Girl Lost is a roller-coaster ride with surprising twists, heart-tugging emotions, and intense danger. It starts with a bang, and the explosive drama continues until the final page! I look forward to more exciting suspense from Kate Angelo and the next thrilling story in The King Legacy series. This is my first book from this author: I wanted to read her books since I saw great recommendations everywhere, and I was not disappointed! This is a romantic thriller that kept me glued to the book until the end! I needed to know what was going to happen next and how Luna and Corbin would heal their hearts and get back together. Orphaned Luna Rosati, who found a sense of family in her childhood (thanks to Stryker, a man who became a mentor for her and many other troubled kids in what they called the Warrior Program), gave up her baby for adoption at seventeen and left without any explanation. Now a CIA counterintelligence officer, she seeks to heal by finding her teenage daughter, the only blood relative she’s never met. Stryker agrees to reveal the daughter’s identity, but insists she meet him in her old neighborhood, a place she dreads. When Stryker is suddenly captured, Luna must face her past. Corbin King, a special agent who changed his last name to escape his convicted father’s reputation, unexpectedly crosses paths with Luna, his teenage love, and mother of his unknown daughter. They both must work past their history to tackle a dangerous mission. Facing kidnapping, murder, and hidden truths, the secrets each hide are just the start of the dangers threatening their lives. This was a fantastic and very intriguing second chance romance. The main characters, Luna and Corbin, were deeply developed throughout the story, and both carried their own wounds: the hurt of their need to belong and be cherished, the pain of their breakup, the heavy burden of not knowing what became of their daughter. Luna’s determination to find her was admirable and heart-tugging. The character growth was inspiring and their journey to healing, reconciliation and redemption touched me. While the story was thought-provoking and it had quotes and dialogues that resonated with me, my attention was also diverted to plenty of suspense and action. I liked that combination. The suspense is really gripping: the missing girl, Stryker´s kidnapping, finding their lost daughter, the criminal activity they discover surrounding these mysteries, it all adds to make it a fast-pacing page turner that I totally devoured. I can’t wait for the next book in this series. I’m only sorry that I have to wait for it, but it will be worth it, I’m sure. I totally recommend this book for romantic suspense and thriller lovers! I received a complimentary copy of this book from Revell Publishers and was under no obligation to post a review. This is my honest and unbiased opinion.

I started this book thinking I would start one day and finish the next - NOT! This story stirred emotions, and questions that needed to be answered, therefore nothing kept me from reading until the end. Forgiveness and the opportunity to walk a new path was something both Luna and Corbin required, but would they be open to take that chance? Would she finally find her way home? The Warrior program was started to give young people a second chance - become someone they never thought they could be. But someone is taking advantage of these lost souls and using them for financial gain, all the while making strides in medical discovery. Murder, organ trafficking and more will keep you on the edge of your seat all the while wondering if any will be found alive. A copy of The King Legacy #1 was received through Revell, Baker Publishing Group and NetGalley, with no expectations of a positive review.
