Leaks every time within a few days. Left a huge mess and we had to clean our garage can every time. We had to use an extra bag so it didn't leak all over as we bring it out. so disappointed.

These bags do the job. I'm going to try a different brand next time because these bags sweat a ton (I'm not sure if that's standard for compostable trash bags, but the bag will sometimes be completely soaked when I take out my compost) and they're really hard to open. But I never had issues with the bags ripping and I would fill them pretty full!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I typically keep a single compost bag for a few days, up to a week in the winter. These are great and don't leak even when there is liquid in the bags. The scent isn't too strong and really just keeps things from getting stinky.

I ordered the unscented Glad Compostable Small kitchen bags online. They aren't green as pictured on the packaging, they are tan. The bags fit my kitchen compost can well. However, they are not as good quality as the Bag to Nature bags I had been using. They are very thin and get very 'soppy' after one day of use, which doesn't happen with the Bag to Nature compost bags. I usually have to double bag, which is a waste, so I don't end up with a wet mess taking the bag out to the green bin (I live in an apartment, so it's a long haul to have to carry a soppy bag to the curbside can). Won't be repeating my purchase of these.

So I'm kinda in love with these Glad Compostable Lemon Scent bags. I love to compost, but hate the smell. I'm one of those people that smell everything. Well let me tell you these compostable bags did the trick I just pop one in my compost container and bam no more stink. These bags held all my straps with out ripping or tearing at all. When I'm cooking with lots of fresh vegetables or fruit I just put one of these bags on my counter all fill it up. No smelly mess left behind in my kitchen. Love these handy bags. I received this product recently and I have to say that the bag seems kind of on the thin side. I feel like it should be more for like small garbage similar to what you keep in your bathroom so it doesn’t tear easily. I also believe the scent could be stronger to overpower the trash that goes in the bag. However, it seems like your average garbage bag. It’s good but needs improvement. These bags are quiet handy to have in the kitchen for when you want to dispose of fruits and veggies (or anything really) and not have it stink up your trash can or have the food sitting in your trash can until you take the trash out. These small bags open easily and hold a lot. I use them to hold fruit and vegetable scraps and then put the bag in the fridge until I'm ready to add more scraps. I'm not wild about the scent of the bags, but it's not an overwhelming scent for those who have nose sensitivities as I do. The scent helps mask the odors coming from the food inside the bag. These bags would be useful in a diaper bag as well. Overall, I recommend these bags for people who don't empty their trash very often and need a way to prevent stinking up their garbage until they do. The Glad Tall Kitchen Compostable Bags are the perfect size to put in my self-cleaning litter box. They also help to mask the smell because they are lemon scented. I have been using these in a smaller trash can. They have worked well for my current use (master bath and bedrooms). I am very diligent about changing the bags out frequently so they are not overloaded. They seem sturdy so believe they would be fine for heavier use (not I never put food in my inside trash). My only complaint is that it takes a minute to open the bags up ( compare to the produce bags at the supermarket). If you're in a hurry, that can be an issue.
