I received this product for free from the Hey, Bullseye™ sampling program in exchange for my honest review. I really want to like these bags more but they started to disintegrate too fast and when I remove the bag and its contents, the bag will tear in multiple places, rendering it useless. If you have a quick turnaround from putting scraps in the bag and putting it out (a day or two) these will be fine but much longer than that and it won't last.

Compost bags are not a usual thing to brag about but, these come with an upgrade: the drawstring. Every brand I’ve bought didn’t include this feature probably because it wasn’t completely commercially compostable. I can tell this is made with corn or some degradable grain or that I’m hopeful it appears so. These bags also are not green in color which employs less dyes and colors in general which I like. It also fits perfectly into my countertop bin. I am curious how long it will take for these bags to compost in my bin. Bags typically degrade within roughly 90-100 days out in my compost bin. If I had to pick an improvement it would be the bags are a bit more expensive than buying in bulk without the drawstring.

I am impressed with these. They are thick and sturdy. Just reading the description I thought it would be more thin and not work as well as a regular bag. I use these to collect food scraps that I compost in an indoor automatic compost machine. You have to use specific settings on your machine (so get that info from the brands website) but they good break down completely. It’s pretty cool! I haven’t tried these outside in a more traditional compost pile yet. Give em a try!

These bags are great. The Opening is nice and wide and sturdy overall. The drawstrings hold the bag closed with out tearing. I have found these bags to be a good size fit for the automatic cleaning cat litter boxes. A cheaper alternative than the ones intended for the litter boxes.

I really like these Matter compostable kitchen scrap trash bags. They are strong and I have not had one leak or rip so far. They fit our small trashcan perfecly and stay in place with out any truble. Its great knowing that they are made using sustainable, natural, and renewable resins, and compost in soil in a matter of months. I am very happy with the quality and will keep using them for our kitchen scraps.

I love these bags so much for handling food scraps especially during the colder months where I cannot compost in my garden. The bags are durable with strong drawstrings and hold a lot of scraps for its size! The plant based technology is incredible and I’m glad to know there’s a less harmful alternative to plastic bags.

These are surprisingly good strong bags for being compostable. Great for throwing fruit and veggie scraps into without having to make multiple trips a day to throw them out in the compost bin. These easily help me transport cardboard and other carbon items to the bin without creating a messy trail. I’ve used these during a hike, cleaning up the trail as I go. I’m more mindful of the waste I create and these help tremendously with lowering my plastic usage (ie trash bags). Will certainly buy these again.

These compost bags are exactly what I've been looking for! They are strong enough for a weeks worth of table scraps & food waste without ripping. They're stronger than others I've tried. They have drawstrings that close the bag without ripping. The bags themselves breakdown rather quickly and that's important to me in composting. I definitely recommend these for anyone who composts.

I love these! Not all compostable bags are created equally and these hold up very well. They are a little big for my compost container, but that’s better than too small! The ties make it easier to carry, as I have to go aways for my bigger compost bin, and I need a bag that holds up!

These bags are great! I use them for my bathroom trash. They are not big enough for kitchen trash, but that’s okay! They are decent for the amount of trash my kids put in their bathroom. They always are filling it up!

Matter small trash bags are stronger than you expect. I have been using them to throw away just about everything from table scraps to tissues. I use them when I am cleaning up our baby chicks area. They fit perfectly in the basket and the drawstring makes it easy to lift it out of the can. I have pushed these bags to their limit, but have not had one rip on me yet.

I love using these bags when I prep fruit and veggies after my weekly grocery run. This Matter compostable scrap bags are perfect for your home compost bin. We use ours for daily vegetable and compostable items. I love that these are made with plant based materials and strong drawstring for when you transport it outside.

This is a good size compostable bag, and it fits perfectly in the city approved compost container that goes under my sink! It seems pretty sturdy, and it acts as a good liner for my compost bin so I don’t have to take the whole bin outside I can just take the bag! I cannot actually say that it breaks down because I don’t compost anything. It goes to the city. But if they’re not lying about it being compostable, then it’s a great addition to my routine.

It's fantastic to have products like this available to help minimize the volume of trash heading to landfills. These compostable bags are durable and good quality for gathering food scraps, fruit tops, and other natural items to be composted in our backyard. Great product!
