I'm surprised at how well reviewed this product is. My experience with them is that the rip and tear as you get them out of the box, even when you're careful. They are very fragile. Too fragile. I'll use up the box of these that I have, then get a different, better quality brand and avoid these in the future.

The 3 gallon size is convenient for food scraps because you don’t need to keep a large container or wait a long time before the bag is filled. The product is advertised as BPA‑free and PFAS‑free which is great! The price point seems a bit high.

Draw string closure was surprisingly strong. I am very glad it is made from plants and compostable, so I feel I am doing my bit to reduce my carbon print.

So I have buried one bag in my garden already so we'll see before winter if it disappears. It is already breaking down. I've tried something similar previously and they didn't compost or break down very fast. So we'll have to see how long these take. Yeah to saving the planet from plastics!

I use this trash bag for my bathroom trashcan and to dispose of cat litter. The materiel is thinner than other trash bags and is more fragile when it comes to bulky garbage. I wish it was more resilient because I like this trash bag and it does its job most of the time. I haven’t noticed any odors.

The three gallon size allows me to stuff over a week's worth of scraps inside, and the bags are sturdy -no need to use a second layer. Unlike the old corn-based green bags I used to use, these also don't degrade once you put something wet in it! I keep each for a week and they hold up very well. They can be composted at home or in commercial facilities. Love the drawstring (which is every bit as resilient as the ones found on plastic trash bags) for ease of tying up and preventing odors from leaking through.
