I have a soft spot for poetry and we aim to read diverse representation and types of books. My 2.5 year old just started to show interest in it as he likes to memorize stories and “read” them back to us. This works well for our purposes especially as summer time is approaching.

Poor illustration of a single mother, no father in sight. Fathers are extremely important, whether near or far. It’s also not written for toddlers whom are being taught to speak using complete sentences.
Love it!

I bought this book for my son who is 5 months. He LOVED it, which made me so happy because it is a gorgeous book. The art and poetry are magical- it’s so good to expose kids to a variety of writing styles. I definitely recommend this book!

Did not like this book. Just words thrown on a page. The illustrations are beautiful, but that’s not enough for a 5 year old eager to read and follow along with a story that makes sense to him. Returning!
