About the Book
Little Pup wants to better understand why there's only one wolf pup in his family while others have brother and sister pups. Mama and Papa introduces their pup to new family members, helping him to recognize different family types and how family members support and love each other. Full color.Book Synopsis
Little Pup's wolf family is on their way to a special reunion--with lots of cousins, games, roasting marshmallows, and fun! As the young wolf thinks about different kinds of families, it's the perfect opportunity for Mama and Papa to teach their inquisitive child about the families that God brings together. Some families are big and others are small, some are led by grandparents or just one parent, and some families include adopted little ones- yet each family is truly special. Even the members of Little Pup's pack make up an important role in his family, although they sometimes pester him. Papa gently reminds his son... "We need to love the family God gave us." A heartwarming and colorful addition to the best-selling God Gave Us series, this tale will delight young hearts and help them understand how families of all types reflect God's unconditional love.About The Author

I have an only child and she often asks why she doesn't have brothers and sisters like all the other kids in her class. When I opened this book and saw it was about an only child asking why his family was different from others, I was hopeful it would be relatable. It was, and as we read the first few pages together, my daughter looked at me and smiled like she knew that's why we were reading it. It explains that we have the family God blesses us with, and that extended family (cousins, grandparents, etc) are all part of our family too. The book also explains that some parents do not live together (divorce) but that both parents still love their children very much. It's very easy for a child to understand. My daughter is 8 but it would also be suitable for much younger children. As the parent of an only child with many questions, I'm so glad I found this book! It's sweet and relatable, and it made this Momma tear up at the end. Great book!

We enjoyed reading this story with our son. It was a great story to share. We also have other God Gave Us Books. We use them to share the blessings we received from God.
