Buyer beware their warranty policy!
Buyer beware! If something isn’t working with your GOTRAX bike, and you need to file a warranty claim (assuming it’s a covered claim during your first 1-2 years of ownership), GOTRAX will require YOU to pay shipping and send the broken bike to them! This is at minimum a $200 charge if you purchase their discontinued shipping label through GOTRAX customer service. More $$ if you ship it your own. Great warranty- NOT!

Big disappointment
Bought two and both were defective. One had malfunctioning LCD/electronic system so the motor would not engage. The other’s throttle exploded at the slightest bump of the curb. We are SO DISAPPOINTED. Tried to contact Gotrax for solutions but they were unhelpful - rude, even. First questioned whether I had actually purchased the bikes, then just tTold me to return to Target, so I did. We waited a long time to get these after a ton of research and saving and the shipping estimate changed on us several times (so we waited much longer than originally promised at checkout). Very sad kids and mama here. I will say, the frames, chains, gears etc. seemed very sturdy and they looked fantastic. The 10 minutes we rode the one that DID engage the motor was really fun! Until the throttle exploded. The other was fine as a non-e-bike. But that wasn’t why we bought them. Beware of rushed manufacturing… I would bet Gotrax just couldn’t keep up with demand and skipped some quality control steps. If they’d have been accommodating with customer service I’d have been happy to try ti fix or exchange these. But they weren’t. Back they went. So sad!!
