Fork is too dangerous and spoon just can't be held clearly wtih lip for holding food securely. Bad choice.

These were a fantastic first utensil set. We didn’t realize that long handled utensils are much more for parent-feeding-child than child-feeding-themselves. The short handle is easy for him to hold and maneuver—he was successful getting SOME food into his mouth immediately. Win!
