I really wish I would have done more research before buying this. The price was right & I liked the color, but nothing you need to convert to a toddler bed or anything else is included. The conversion kits are hard to find & expensive ($80 for the guardrail kit, plus we will need another kit to make it a full bed).

Short-term use only
I bought this in hopes that I would be able to use it until my son was a teenager. Only to find out that after 16 months, I’m needing to buy a new bed because there is no such thing as the toddler conversion kit for this bed. Unless you want to take the front off and leave the side bars, exposed and allow your toddler to roll out of bed, You might want to buy something new. Apparently, none of the guards are compatible for this bed either.

Well loved crib
I purchased this crib for my first baby in December 2020. I came back to find the weight limit (50 lbs) and stubbmled upon too many poor reviews of this crib. I was shocked. This crib has held my baby plus myself or my husband on multiple occasions as we climb in and out to sooth him back to sleep. We transitioned to a toddler bed on the lowest setting and simply added a crib rail to prevent falls. My toddler loves his bed! He is now 3, still in the toddler setting, just raised to the highest setting and this bed is still holding together perfectly! Easy to build and change. Sturdy and a great price !

Misleading
Does NOT convert to toddler bed. I bought the $50 toddler bed conversion rail that is supposed to go with the bed and it does NOT work. It also cannot be a toddler bed even without a rail as the front legs of the crib are attached to the front panel. Very dumb. Fine for a crib but no longevity. VERY misleading description and photos.

Hi, thanks for reaching out. This crib does convert into a toddler bed. If your crib is a different or older version it may not be compatible. You can still convert this crib without the guard-rail as it is optional. Please make sure the correct guard-rail is purchased.

Great crib
I first bought this crib for my first baby without really knowing too much about anything but it held up really well so I just bought it again for my second baby! It’s a simple, sleek crib at a great price point. For those reviews saying it doesn’t come with a toddler conversion guardrail, it literally states that it isn’t compatible with any graco guardrail. This version of a toddler bed doesn’t include a guardrail but I still think it’s a great crib and you definitely get your moneys worth.

sucks
the crib literally came with NO instructions and was missing a whole side of the crib. 10/10 do not buy. i’m due in 4 weeks and the fact that i have to go thru this stress bc this crib is so dumb literally makes me angry.

As other posters have mentioned, this is not a 4-in-1 crib, it's a 1-in-1 crib. You need to purchase extra parts, which are impossible to find, to convert the crib into other layouts. The is particularly frustrating for me as I'm a mom of twins and now, as my kids approach their first birthday, have two worthless cribs. Additionally, the paint on these cribs comes off and had major thin spots all over when we received them. Not impressed with the quality or the promise of the longevity/convertibility of the item.

Not Convertable Anymore
I bought this two years ago and wish-listed the toddler rail and bed extension to buy when it was needed- so I KNOW they were available at one point. Well now those extensions are nowhere to be found ANYWHERE and I have to buy a completely new bed. Terrible move since I thought I bought a convertible crib, turn out it’s just a crib.

Please note that guardrail is compatible with Benton Crib & Changer (not compatible with regular version of Benton crib). However, your crib it is totally safe to use as a Toddler Day bed as long as you follow the instructions that came with the crib.

Fine until theyre 2
Great until you need to convert it. We just took the front panel off but after use for a month, the side panel cracked due to the stress. Now it’s garbage. Really disappointed. The crib we got for our second kiddo came with a bar, could never find one for this crib.

Poor quality and nonexistent rail
Same as everyone else. Bought this crib thinking we would easily be able to convert it to a toddler bed. Nope. Toddler rail (pebble gray) appears to be nonexistent and paint chipped from teething. Would never have purchased it if I knew we would have to buy a brand new bed.

I love the color and the sturdiness of the crib it was bought as a gift and it’s beautiful. The front section and back section need to be reversed. If the sticker says this side inside flip it around that’s how it works.

Duped like many before me
The piece to convert to toddler/day bed is missing. Such a beautiful crib and annoyed we can't keep using it.

Hi Mama B, Thank you for your feedback. The Graco Benton 4-in1 Crib does not require additional parts to convert. To convert the crib to a day bed you need to adjust the mattress brackets to the 2nd drilled hole. For toddler's bed conversion the front rail needs to be removed and the mattress brackets adjusted to the lowest level.

Misleading
We bought this crib because it says converts to a toddler bed, and now that my daughter is ready for the toddler bed, it’s evident how misleading this product description is. There’s no conversion kit included like what we were under the impression by the product description for the toddler bed, and now we are out more money as we will have to buy more.
