GreenView Seeding Success Seed Protector, All Grasses Sun or Shade Grass - 38 lb

I purchased this along with grass seed to patch bare spots in my yard after a long hot New Mexico summer. This stuff rocks! It is very hard to grow grass in southern New Mexico and the weather is very unpredictable. I will never plant seed without this. It really does help 100%. I purchased another bag to always keep this product on hand.

We bought this to cover the shade grass we planted at the back of our yard. I think it works ok to keep the ground moist because the grass is growing nicely

I didn't see where this worked as well as using straw. I've had better success with straw even though you will get some weed content with straw.

Great stuff to start grass seed, hold in place, and keep wet.

I used this product to reseed the grass strip between my sidewalk and street and this product worked very well, much better than straw.

The only complaint I have is that it was too heavy for me to pick up but that is also a good thing because you get a good amount of product for your plants

Living out in the woods, with all my animals I thought that there was no sense in even trying to put grass seed down with straw over it because they would eat it. But I tried this as an alternative to see what would happen and it was awesome. My animals seemed to leave it alone, so the grass should be sprouting in the next week or so!!

Using this product does two things, protects and improves the health of your grass. So you have fertilizer and mulch. The mulch is made of paper and is biodegradable. I like that. It retains moisture and that is most important for the health of your grass. The formula is designed to keep the seeds in one place. It s a lot of work seeding a yard. Take this one extra step to make sure it grows into a healthy lawn. I sure don’t want to do it again next year. It will take a bit of time but I can see my yard will look great.

We put down some dover mix grass seed with the seeding success laying right on top. The reason for the small success is due more to the wheather in maine right now not the seeding success itsself.

It's easy to use, and safe for the environment which is always a plus. A little goes a long way. We will use the remainder in other dead area. The directions for use are clear.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was very easy to use. Just throw it into the area you would like more growth. It works pretty well as far as I can tell. I am no expert but this was ideal for a few spots in my back yard where not a lot of sunlight is received.

It’s a good alternative to straw mulch in that it doesn’t introduce any other seeds, which can happen with straw. The product is also easy to use. I mixed it with grass seed in a spreader so I was able to apply everything at once. For smaller areas I just spread it by hand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Greenview Seeding Success is a pelleted mulch that does not contain grass seed but can be used with any grass seed and can be spread by hand or with a spreader and is great in covering bare spots. very easy to apply to area needed. Took only thirty minutes to apply to dry spot area and was very easy to use.
