Description
GrowTrax provides an easier, cheaper, better way to grow grass. The grass seed and fertilizer are sandwiched between 2 bio-fabric layers. It literally sticks to the ground when moistened, no staking required, providing excellent seed to soil contact. GrowTrax holds 6X its weight in water. For fast germination and uniform growth, simply roll, water and watch it grow.

One Week In - Great Start
Installed a week ago. I admittedly added a bit additional high quality seed, but so far the grass is germinating and looks like it will come in perfectly!!!

do not buy for shady area
I bought five rolls of Growtrax sun and shade it is working really well in the sun spots but it has not grown any in the shade probably will not buy again

Thanks for your feedback! Our Sun & Shade mix is great for areas with partial sun, but for deep shade, we recommend our Shade Variety, which is specifically formulated to thrive in low-light conditions. Using the Shade Variety in those darker spots should give you much better results.

Do Not Buy - It Doesn't Work
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I followed the instructions perfectly, even bought a fancy ground tiller. Laid the Growtrax down and set my sprinkler system to keep it wet 3x a day. After 5.5 weeks all I have is dirt and a few blades of grass. Feels like a scam.

Not real happy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So it worked in one area but not in the other. It was easy to roll out and set up, but the grass did grow in all of the areas. The material is very thin and I do have rabbits and other “wild” animals that are in my yard and it the material seems to get a lot of holes in it.

Mixed bag!
I bought 5 rolls and it has been a little over 3 weeks since I laid it down. I have had mixed results! Approximately half of the area is doing well while the other half has shown small growth. I am hoping the other half comes along!

Lavender did not grow whatsoever. Followed instructions and gave it good watering at first. Product had no issue sticking to ground but after 3 weeks, there is no growth.

Beautiful!
I have spent a good of money trying to get grass to grow in our sandy soil ~ for the first time in years, I finally see little blades of grass growing !!! Easy to install , and beautiful results !

Mixed results
Laying down the repair roll was very easy. Simple to trim and fit where needed. But despite laying down a thick bed of topsoil I only got mixed results. I watered three times a day which isn't always practical in this intense Texas sun and heat. I've been doing this for over 3 weeks now and might have 25% coverage. Much of the green felt material still shows but nothing is coming up. Next year I'll just bite the bullet and buy a pallet of sod.

Not the best product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have bought 47 rolls of this and it is not what says to be had to add a lot of seed over top to get it to do anything it’s still not really growingso I pretty pretty much spent double the money buying all the seed I have watered it 2 to 3 times a day

Results after two weeks
I laid down the rolls (3 @ 2' x 100') about two weeks ago. The grass blades are beginning to come so I can see a lot of them now. I began by watering twice a day and now I water al least once a day and sometimes more, especially if the weather is quite warm. I notice that the seed fabric is quite fragile. It tears easily. I've had some critters (squirrels or chipmunks) make holes in various spots. I'm hoping the grass will fill in or I'll have to add more seed later. I hope more grass blades will continue to sprout up as it looks a little sparse right now. Hopefully within a couple more weeks I'll have a good lawn started.
