    No grass yet.

Late, I’m down about a week ago. Haven’t seen any sprouts yet. It seems to tear pretty easily. watered and we have had plenty of rain in the last week.
1 reply from Growtrax customer service team team - 8 days ago
Thanks for sharing, we understand the concern. At about a week in, it can still be a bit early, most lawns start showing sprouts around 10–14 days, sometimes longer depending on temps and conditions. With rain, just make sure the mat still has good soil contact and isn’t shifting or sitting unevenly, as that can slow germination. The material can feel delicate when wet, but it will start to settle as roots establish. If you’re not seeing any growth over the next several days, please reach out to support@growtraxcustomerservice.com and we’ll take a closer look

    Ok product

So far no growth of any kind Has been 9 days and since they are asking for the review figured I would give one. So far I feel the product is designed for large areas that are clear. Patches you might want to go with a different product since it is cumbersome cutting small pieces

Easy to install for small yard

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was super easy to install over my backyard. Coverage was straight forward and started seeing sprouts within 2 weeks.

Love hearing that, thanks for sharing! Glad the install was easy and you’re already seeing sprouts, that’s right on track.

    No grass yet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Still waiting. Nothing popping up yet. I planned grass seed next to the Growtrax area as comparison and that area is growing grass without any problem.
1 reply from Growtrax customer service team team - 8 days ago
We understand the concern. If you’re not seeing anything yet, it can still be within the normal window depending on temperature and conditions—GrowTrax typically starts showing growth around 10–14 days, sometimes a bit longer if it’s cooler or inconsistent. Grow trax - the jury is still out.

This product works best on fresh soil with mixed reviews on patchy grass
1 reply from Growtrax customer service team team - 8 days ago
Thanks for the feedback. For best results, we always recommend good soil prep and direct soil contact, as that gives the seed the strongest chance to establish evenly. Patchy or existing grass areas can sometimes lead to mixed results depending on how well the mat can make contact with the soil underneath.

    Very difficult product

I purchased this product believing it would simplify and improve the process of regrowing grass in my front yard. It was initially easy to install but trying to keep the product down after the initial install has been a headache. I prepped the ground and keep it watered as instructed but any amount of wind messes the product up and now I have a mess of torn seed cloth in my front yard. I'm about to rake it all up and just spread seed.
1 reply from Customer Service team - 8 days ago
We’re really sorry to hear this, that sounds incredibly frustrating after putting in the work. Wind can be especially tough in the early stage before the mat has had time to fully settle and anchor into the soil. We always recommend ensuring strong soil contact and lightly securing edges with a thin layer of soil, along with consistent watering to help it stay in place during establishment. Please reach out to our customer support team at support@growtraxcustomerservice.com so we can take a closer look and help you further.

Ground needs to be perfectly flat or else

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to roll out but ground needs to be perfectly flat. Otherwise, if you are rolling it on top of bunches of grass, it won’t sit flat and won’t grow. Also hasn’t been great for southern New England in April. Not sure if it is still just a bit too cold or just not sunny enough, but I’m almost 2 weeks in and no shoots. Probably going to pick it up, thrown down seed, and put this on top of the seed I throw down and see how that goes.
1 reply from Customer Service team - 8 days ago
Thank you for sharing your experience, we really appreciate the detailed feedback. For southern New England in April, cooler soil temperatures and limited sun can definitely slow germination, so being close to 2 weeks without shoots can still fall within a normal window for those conditions. We’d recommend keeping the area consistently moist and giving it a bit more time as temperatures warm up, but we understand how frustrating that wait can be. If you’d like, please reach out to our support team at support@growtraxcustomerservice.com, we’d be happy to take a closer look and help guide next steps

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Grass is coming up nicely after a couple weeks. Hard to keep in place if windy
1 reply from Growtrax customer service team team - 9 days ago
Great to hear it’s coming up nicely, that’s a great sign! And yes, wind can be tricky in those early weeks before it fully roots in. To help keep it in place, we recommend making sure it has strong soil contact and lightly securing the edges with a thin layer of soil, along with consistent watering.

    Love my grass "rug

This grass rug, as I like to call it, is really pretty convenient. Cut and roll to size, then water the heck out of it. My yard is full of squirrels, and they seem very interested in this as well and have dug up lots of little areas of the rug. The grass however, is still coming up. You have to water this more than you think... in the hot Florida sun, I water 3 times a day. For the first couple of days, I saw nothing, then all of a sudden, I started to see some green fuzz. The grass!! Now after a couple of weeks, it is starting to fill in... It still has some weeks to go. Filled in an area where I had river rocks down... grass is much nicer

    Your product is not good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Too delicate, even staked down the wind rips it to shreds, I had to buy hay mats with nylon netting to get it stay down. I feel as though I wasted my money and can not recommend this product.

    Best idea ever, growtrax pro

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought protrax Pro on March 10th 2026. Installed it on March 18th, 2026. My first signs of growth was March 24th, 2026. I had a full backyard around the 16th of April, 2026. Best thing to do is get a wifi timer for your hoses and sprinkler and build a watering schdule around growtrax watering example. So worth the money. Just follow the instructions and videos on youtube.
1 reply from Customer Service team - 12 days ago
Thank you so much for sharing your experience and detailed timeline! We’re thrilled to hear how well GrowTrax worked out—from installation in March to a full backyard by April is exactly the kind of result we aim for. Your tip about using a hose timer and following a consistent watering schedule is especially helpful, and we appreciate you sharing that with others. It’s great advice for new customers to follow the instructions and videos closely, and your results really show how effective that approach can be when done consistently. Thanks again for your support and for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review!

    No Grow

I have faithfully followed growing instructions and have yet to see any signs of life. Very disappointed.
1 reply from Customer Service team - 13 days ago
We’re really sorry to hear this and understand how disappointing it is to follow the instructions and still not see any growth. When there are no signs of germination, it’s often related to factors like soil health, temperature, sunlight, or watering consistency—but we’d like to take a closer look at your specific setup to better understand what may have happened. Please reach out to our support team at support@growtraxcustomerservice.com with further details about your installation. We’ll be happy to troubleshoot with you and discuss next steps to make this right.

    Great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great product and it grows fast. I saw the grass after about one week. I also put small amount of soil on top of it to prevent it from being blowed away by wind.
1 reply from Customer Service team - 13 days ago
Thanks for sharing your experience! We’re glad to hear you’re happy with the product and that you started seeing growth in about a week. Adding a light layer of soil is a great idea in windy areas—it can definitely help keep everything in place while still allowing the seed to germinate properly. Sounds like you’ve got a solid setup going! If you ever have questions or need tips for continued growth, feel free to reach out.

1 reply from Growtrax customer service team team - 13 days ago
We’re really sorry to hear your frustration, we completely understand. Two weeks is still early, as germination typically takes about 10–14 days, with some varieties like Bermuda taking a little longer depending on conditions. Keep up with consistent watering, as that’s key during this stage. If you’re still not seeing progress soon, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our customer service team—we’re here to help get this on track for you.
