If you know nothing about how energy systems work, then maybe this is for you. If you do understand energy systems, you know this stuff is useless. If you want to reduce performance, try this product. Maybe you simply want to look like an idiot with these packs tucked into your shorts. Whatever.

I ride, run and play pickleball. I'm familiar with this from my marathon days in the 80s. I play pickleball now and ride the local coffee ride. Love these things and they work well when the workouts stretch longer than an hour. Heck I'll even take one when the workout is only 30min! -Rich

I really like GU energy gels. I’ve found them to be really effective in giving you that quick energy boost. I run long distances and take one every 45 minutes. They are not a complete calorie substitute but they help in that they are convenient way to keep your calories up. Also, the price is a huge savings than the retail price where it is sold by the pack which is around $2.49 each.

These give a quick energy kick and they're light and packable. There's a reason they're a fixture when I'm out for a long day. If I were out for more performance, I'd make these part of shorter days too.
