Great idea in theory, but not as effective as the traditional haakaa. If you’re looking for the same level of suction as the typical haakaa, then you’ll be disappointed. If you need something that’s more than just a collector, then this can work. The convenience of switching out the top to immediately feed your babe is fantastic, but it definitely doesn’t result in the same output as the normal haakaa pump. Everything is easy to clean and the top is definitely made from the same mold as the usual haakaa pump, so no changes there.

Pump part is just ok. The original pump is cheaper and more efficient. But I really like the bottle — baby likes and easier to clean than other bottles. 5 oz bottle works well for my 2 month old but may need larger bottle as he gets older.

Love the convenience!

I purchased this because I thought it would be more convenient not to have to decant milk into another bottle. Also, the wider base would be more stable when sitting on the table than the 1st generation Haakaa. Those features are great. The shield fits comfortably. It's easy to wash, and it collects precious milk that otherwise would have been wasted. The downsides are that this feels much heavier than the one-piece 1st generation Haakaa, requiring more suction to stay attached. I would recommend the 1st gen Haakaa instead of the pump and bottle set because of the weight of the set. But, if you have very fast let-down of larger volumes, more than 2 ounces or so, the pump and bottle set has more capacity. Prior to this purchase, I already bought a 1st generation Haakaa, a similar NatureBond knockoff, and a Medela Swing single electric pump. The 1st gen Haakaa is my favorite -- it is soft, comfortable, lightweight, easy to clean, stays attached, and collects a lot of milk for very little effort. The NatureBond is stiffer, so it does not stay attached to me, but it also works well as long as I keep re-suctioning. I frequently got plugged ducts from the Medela Swing, even after switching shields to Pumpin' Pals, and I collected comparable amounts of milk to the 1st gen Haakaa or NatureBond, so I no longer use the Medela. Like many other reviewers, I wish I had known about Haakaa with my older children or in the early oversupply days of my latest baby. The bottle is very convenient to have, and the included nipple is very soft. My baby liked it immediately, although she was unable to hold it herself. But, once there's milk being stored in the bottle, I would need to buy another bottle or pour the milk into another storage bottle if I needed to use this pump again before feeding the 1st bottle.

I love the concept of the gen 3 Haakaa. I'm having trouble with latching, so collecting the let down into a bottle is convenient. I can switch to the bottle easily. I give it 3 stars based on comfort. It feels heavy and almost painful when I'm using it.

Love this product!!! This handy little thing is incredible at helping to save every single drop of breastmilk (instead of it leaking all over the place) whenever I would bf my babies I would just suction this to the side I wasn’t feeding with and it caught so much breastmilk. It helped increase my supply bc it’s removing milk from the breast and helped me build a freezer stash without even trying. Also it’s super easy to clean and sterilize instead of an electric pump with so many parts. Also genius that this pump can turn into a bottle to feed the baby too. The bottle is very similar to the comotomo bottles. I literally recommend this to every single person I know who is having a baby and plans to breastfeed!

This pump and bottle set is so convenient to use! I can easily collect the milk on the side that baby's not currently nursing, it's so easy to use. Then just change the nipple on and I can or have dad feed the baby later. It saves the time to pour and lower the possibility of spillage. It's also very easy to clean. Great product!

While nursing, I experienced an oversupply so the Haakaa breast pump has been great to capture my excess milk from the non-nursing side. What I love about Gen 3 is the easy storage and ability to feed baby directly with the same bottle. It's the best unkept secret and I am so happy to have come across this product. Definitely recommend!!

this is amazing because you can use it while pumping and it is a great bottle for after your breastfeeding journey is over - which ended at 4 months for me. super easy to clean and interchangeable parts with comotomo which i love because i have these haakaa bottles and comotomo ones (i do like these haakaa bottles better though, the sturdiness is nice and they sit better - sometimes the comotomo roll, bottom not very big).

I was very excited to see Haakaa release this new generation of hand pumps. I owned both gen 1 and gen 2 pumps and loved using them all. But this one is a game changer for me. No more pouring pumped milk into a bottle, just need to change the top. It's much more convenient for traveling and with the new nipple top I don't have to worry about spilling milk when transferring or traveling.

I recommend this product to all nursing moms. It worked great for me with my first child and will be using it again with my second!

Absolutely love this! I wish I would have know about this with my first baby! I love how convenient it is especially for busy moms! The quality seems great, the top screws on and off easily with no leaks. I really like the size and shape of the bottle too! Baby already loves the bottle :)

I love the haaka! I've been using it for the last 18 months of nursing and have donated over 1000 ouncea of breast milk because of this product. This new haaka is the best yet! Easy to clean, collects a ton of milk!

I wish I would have know about the Haakaa as a first time mom! I use the Haakaa to catch let down on the opposite side while nursing to freeze for when I go back to work! It is easy to use and clean, and hands-free. Thank you Haakaa for a great product!

The Haakaa breast pump and bottle set is nothing short of life changing for my second baby! I only wish I knew about it for my first. It is now my go to shower gift! And my number one recommended product for a breastfeeding momma. Passively being able to build my freezer stash without all the hassle of electric pumping is such a time saver! Not to mention way less product to clean. I am convinced it single-handedly kept me from the under supply I had with my first baby. The third generation Haakaa is my favorite because of it’s ability to be a bottle all in one! So convenient for moms on the go. You will not regret this purchase. 

Haakaa does it again! I just love their products! I started with the original pump but thought I’d try this for convenience sake... it’s so good! Highly recommend their products!
