[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used these lights in a hallway. In addition, these lights have various lumen outputs which affects the light color somewhat. Once installed, I set each one to a different light, picked out the one I liked best and set all to the same lumens at the junction box. I liked how easy the have been to install even though I was replacing old can lights with those bulky boxes in the ceiling. I didn't have to take them completely out just make enough room for those to fit it.

Straight out of the box it was ready to put in within minutes. As a single mom you can't ask for anything more simpler than that. Thanks Halo!

It puts out just the right amount of brightness for the kitchen they we need and like. I would definitely recommend this light.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to install, comes with everything you need. Great for any room that you need light. This gives you 5 color temperature options to choose from. Between warm and daylight, you get to set the mood with the dimmable setting box. I would have preferred this to come with a remote to change the color temperature besides just a box. I installed this in our family/living room since we only had access to table lamps.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pros: when removing it from the box, all of the parts and pieces were included. There are well written instructions which include a template of the size hole that needs to be cut out. Installation was simple because of the ability to disconnect the fixture from the wiring compartment. The quick connect and wire connectors supplied with the fixture made it a very simple installation. The fixture itself being adjustable for lumen output from 900 lumen to 1200 lumen by flipping a switch was a great feature. The fact that you have five color options going from warm to bright is also a great feature because it allows you to match the rest of the lighting in a room; plus various areas of the house will require different levels of brightness so you can really use this anywhere. The fact that it has a dim to warm setting is something new and is a game changer because it keeps the color temperature the same. This seems to be something newer for fixtures and is the new “got to have it” in higher end homes. That being said you can still use this fixture in a common area or commercial/apartment building. Another good feature is that this can be used in a damp location like above a shower and it’s energy star approved. Cons: the dimming aspect is great but the fact that in the instructions it says to consult dimmer manufacturer for specific load compatibility and application information leaves you having to research on your own which dimmer manufacturer will work with it. A list of dimmer manufacturer that have been tested with the fixture would have been helpful.

Packaging was easy for the item to get out. Both me and my husband read the directions. The metal box ended up getting very hot. We were scared and got the fire extinguisher. We just stopped. Not recommended unless you’re a professional.

The dimming options are so much better than my previous canned lights. Very impressed and will be purchasing more to replace my other lights.

The HALO Canless Recessed Downlight 6” Direct Mount Baffle Trim is perfect for use in any room. This was used as a replacement for an existing recessed light in our kitchen so there was no need to add wiring or make a cutout. However, if a cutout is needed, a template is included in the instructions. I did not perform the installation but watched while this was done by my husband. It took under ten minutes to remove the old light and install the HALO. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. Deciding which color option to select was the hard part due to all of the choices ~ there are five ranging from 2700K (warm white) to 5000K (bright white). In addition, there is the option to select either 900lm or 1200lm. I am amazed at how much brighter this one light has made our kitchen. I am giving this four stars rather than five because it states that this product is compatible with select dimmers, but there is no information included regarding where to purchase ones that are compatible.

The glass is heavy and high quality and one light provides so much light for one room! Im extremely impressed to say the least! Looking forward to buying more!

Multiple light settings make it perfect for any setting. Also dimmable but I didn't do that option. Very timeless and seamless appearance.
