Highs and Lows and this one is a low.
Sean Evans from the Youtube series Hot Ones, talks about how he likes to enjoy some foods that are either super high in quality or super low in quality and the middle doesn't do it for him. I feel similarly when it comes to hamburger buns. When making burgers you either go high in quality where the bun is definately part of the burger experience, or you go super low where the joy of the burger comes solely from the fillings. Being middle of the road means you could spend more for quality, or save more money. Market Pantry's White Hamburger buns fullfills that role of being technically a burger bun, but one that is so low in quality (flavor, texture, abillity to cook) that the joy must come from the fillings. "I need a delivery system for my patty, lettuce and etc." kind of bun. Now you could punch a bit lower and go for Market Pantry Sandwich bread, but the crusty exterior means a lot for me. Now I wouldn't invite people to a BBQ and give them burgers served in bun like these, but I would use these buns to try to qwell an inner desire for a burger.
