Hanes Essentials Men's Cotton Long Sleeve T-Shirt, Value 4-Pack

I wanted to like the Hanes Essentials Men's Cotton Long Sleeve T-Shirts, especially given the value of the 4-pack and the fact that they're 100% cotton. However, the fabric is so stiff and rough that I find them unwearable—even with an undershirt on. I understand that freshly manufactured cotton garments might have some residual starch or sizing that contributes to stiffness, and that there are steps I could take to soften the material (like multiple washes or fabric softeners). But I don't think I should have to go to such lengths just to make a basic cotton shirt comfortable enough to wear. For a brand like Hanes, I expect better out-of-the-package comfort—especially from a product marketed as an everyday essential. If you're looking for shirts that are immediately soft and wearable, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

Great shirts, long lasting

I ordered two 4 packs of these long sleeve t shirts in white. I think this is the fourth time I have ordered shirts direct from Hanes. They looked and fit great. I washed them, and tried three of them on, and they all feel like very scratchy/itchy fabric. I noticed the fabric appears to be finely ribbed - not like all the others I have bought from Hanes. I am returning them, and hopefully reorder another style.

These shirts shrunk enormously after one wash. I had to return them as worthless.

I work in a prosthetic lab and wear these shirts every day of the week. Love them

After one wash seam on sleeve cuff has separated.

Shirts have been sent to printer for logo application; we will see how the shirts wear after they are returned and the Team starts wearing them!

These t-shirts are really comfortable

Unfortunately these t’s are not soft and after a few washes started to come apart at the seams, literally.

Great weight but the hem is already unraveling on 2 shirts. A little disappointing.

Good shirts but they shrank in the first wash .. and now not so comfortable.

Just whst I needed for winter.Great for under my work shirt.Keeps me warm if im ourside.

Sadly these were terrible long sleeve white T-shirts. The cotton fabric is rough and scratchy even after repeated washings. For me these T-shirts are unwearable.

The callers and shoulders fit like extra large and the whites fit like double XXL. I ordered Large so these will find their way to Good Will
