Happy Salmon is a simple, fast-paced card game that gets everyone moving and laughing in two minutes. Everyone simultaneously calls out the action shown on their top card - "High 5", "Pound It", "Switcheroo", or "Happy Salmon". When two players have a match, they celebrate by performing that action together. Then both players discard their top card and call out the action on their next card. The first player to discard all their cards wins. You have to see it and experience to understand it’s magic, so check out the video above.
The game includes 72 cards, rules, and the Happy Salmon fish pouch. If you buy two sets, you can combine them to play up to 12 players for an extra dose of energy. Winner of several Family Game of the Year awards, Happy Salmon is a uniquely energetic game, and a perfect ice-breaker for parties.
Okay, If you read the rules it is very simple and extremely stupid. With that being pointed out. it is baffling how fun this game is. you go from "i can't believe I am going to do this" to yelling ,laughing, pushing your 14 year old out of the way and jumping over the coffee table. I can't explain it. Just buy this game.
We bought 2 sets (get the blue version for the 2nd set, different color cards) and had 12 foreign exchange students playing this in the front yard. Neighbors actually came outside to see what was happening.
My 5 and 8 year old will finally play a game together! We play as a family and can get a few rounds in (only a few minutes each) before anyone starts fussing or wants to quit. Easy to learn and fun to play!
This game had our family doubled over in laughter the first time we played it! It is such a silly, simple game that is fast and fun and guaranteed to get your heart rate up! The only people who won't enjoy it are those who hate loud and crazy. My 18 year old daughter was skeptical when I explained the how to play, but it was immediately her favorite game that we introduced to everyone who visited us during the holidays! Highly recommend for a fast way to get everyone laughing. Best played with 5 or 6 people.
