Stained couch pink

I put this blanket on my couch for a few days before washing it, and when I moved it, the red side of the blanket had stained my couch PINK. After washing the blanket in cold water with stain catcher sheets, the whole white side is now pink as well. This is a wonderfully soft and warm blanket but DO NOT USE ON LIGHT COLORED FURNITURE or clothing!!
