Hidden in the Night by Elizabeth Goddard is the third book in her Missing in Alaska series. Ivy Elliott lives in Florida and collects rare books along with her ailing mother. Looking to acquire an unpublished manuscript by Jack London she travels to Alaska. The manuscript has disappeared along with the granddaughter of the woman who owned it. Teaming up with Alaska State Trooper Nolan Long, Ivy is on the trail of both. Who knew that searching for a priceless manuscript could be so dangerous. If it’s not the bad guys trying to stop you it’s the Alaska winter. Nolan and Ivy were a great team! The chemistry between the two could be felt through-out the story. The author did a great job describing the Alaska scenery without going overboard. I really enjoyed the story and the suspense kept me turning the pages! I received this book from the publisher for my honest review.

Hidden in the Night is Elizabeth Goddard's third and final book in her "Missing in Alaska" series. This has been an awesome series to read and, if the truth be told, I am sad it is ending. The story is set in Glacier Bay National Park in Alaska and is filled with suspense, danger, and lots of tension that will keep the reader sitting on the edge of their seat. While it is the third book in the series it can be read as a stand-alone book. The story is about Former FBI Special Agent Ivy Elliott who now is a rare book collector and Alaska State Trooper Nolan Long. These two characters have a brief history and sparks fly when they encounter each other again. Ivy, who lives in Florida, has come to Alaska to purchase an unpublished Jack London manuscript. When she arrives she discovers the manuscript has been taken by the owner's granddaughter, Danna. So Ivy heads off to find Danna only to find out she is missing. In the meantime, Trooper Nolan finds himself involved in a possible homicide but he and his partner can't find a body. Ivy and Nolan end up working together to find the missing granddaughter and end up dodging danger with every move. I loved both characters and the tension that was between them was palpable. The reader is taken on a fast-paced journey filled with mystery and suspense. I was kept guessing throughout the book and really didn't see the ending coming. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves clean romantic suspense novels. On a 5-Star scale - 5 Stars! I would like to thank Revell Books, for my copy of Hidden in the Night. I received my copy for free with no expectation of a positive or negative review. The opinions are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR. Part 255.

Former FBI agent Ivy Elliott travels to southeast Alaska to search for a missing Jack London manuscript, but she doesn’t expect the investigation to lead her to the doorstep of Alaska State Trooper Nolan Long, the man who once saved her life and someone she thought she’d never see again. Nolan has never forgotten Ivy Elliott, and as her hunt for the manuscript leads to a dead body and a missing woman, he steps in to help. Nolan and Ivy must wrestle with the unpredictable Alaskan weather, dangerous attacks, and the growing attraction between them, and they have to solve the mysteries before a greater threat is unleashed.📃 Hidden in the Night is the final book in Elizabeth Goddard’s Missing in Alaska series, and I loved that this book not only included a missing person but also a missing book manuscript! Like the rest of the series, this book highlights both the beauty and mystery of rural Alaska, and it’s really a fantastic setting for a suspense story. I liked the dynamics between Nolan and Ivy - Mountain Man and Sunshine Girl - and watching their interest in each other grow over the course of the story. I will say that I wasn’t a fan of some of the narrative and dialogue and that I wish some of the plot details had been more clear and organized because at times I felt a little lost! But this was a good conclusion to the series and I look forward to seeing what Elizabeth Goddard writes next.💚 Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️.25 A big thank you to Elizabeth Goddard and Revell Fiction for sending me a copy of this book! All thoughts and opinions are my own.📘

As per her sick mother's request, Ivy has traveled to a remote part of Alaska to buy a manuscript. But nothing has worked out. The seller, Alina, did not show up for the planned exchange. When Ivy tracks her down, Alina claims she has changed her mind about selling. Then Alina admits her granddaughter, Danna, took it to an even more isolated part of Alaska, and she is sure Danna is in trouble. Because Danna reminds Ivy of her departed sister, she throws caution to the wind, and jumps into a search for Danna, and the manuscript. This turns out to be riskier than Ivy could have imagined. She stumbles upon Danna's uncle right after he has been attacked, and is dying. Suddenly, Ivy is in constant danger. Unknown people threaten her and try to stop her. Alaska's hazardous weather puts Ivy in many life and death situations. In the midst of this, she runs into Nolan Long, an Alaskan State Trooper. They have a history, but never had a relationship because of Ivy living in Florida and he in Alaska. When their paths unexpectedly cross, things start heating up between them. But neither one of them may live long enough to explore their attraction. This is a clean, fast-moving thriller that will keep you turning the pages. The descriptions of Alaska are breathtaking. This is part of a series, but the story stands on its own. Fans of suspense and mystery, with faith sprinkled in, will enjoy this five-star book. Thank you, Revell Books, for providing Tickmenot with a book to review. Opinions are my own.

3.5 stars "Prickles crawled up her back. Something wasn't right here, but even so . . . . " Something definitely wasn't right. Credible information about a young woman in possession of a valuable manuscript had led Ivy Elliott to a remote Alaska cabin, only when she stepped through the door, a series of events unfolded that even Ivy with her past history as an F. B. I. agent could not have foreseen. Fulfilling a father's wish had turned terribly dangerous, not only for Ivy, but for those whom she brought in to assist. Irony of all ironies. Alaska State Trooper Nolan Long had been on the cusp of a Florida vacation when the "one who got away" showed back up in Alaska, obviously in need of his assistance. . . . . again. Ivy Elliott was in over her head, they all were in over their heads, and the ever changing Alaskan weather was proving to be as much of a challenge as the killer they sought. Such an interesting plot, in spite of being confusing in places due to its ever-moving and seemingly missing pieces. Ivy and Logan continually dance around their obvious but unspoken attraction, merging upon circumstances that quickly diverge, only to re-emerge . . . . so, very twisty. But also very encouraging, as the words of the psalmist prove to be life and breath for Ivy, "I lift up my eyes to the mountains - where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord . . . "(Psalm 121). Enjoy this significant addition to the "Missing in Alaska" series.

Hidden in the Night is the third book in the Missing in Alaska series by Elizabeth Goddard. While threading them in order is most enjoyable, they can easily stand alone. I enjoyed seeing previous characters from the first two books of the series. I also enjoyed visiting Alaska through this series. Goddard does a fabulous job of depicting Alaska, and it makes a wonderful backdrop to the story. There was so much going on in the story. Ivy heads to Alaska to find a manuscript for her mother and reconnects with Nolan. Alaska is known as the state people go to disappear in, and Ivy has to be sure she does not disappear as she finds herself in one dangerous situation after another. Nolan is supposed to be going on vacation, but how can he when danger has landed on his doorstep? As a law enforcement officer, he can't just walk away. Pairing up with Ivy will allow him to keep her safe, while also assisting with the search of the manuscript and several people who have gone missing. Hidden in the Night will keep you guessing from the beginning until the end. There are several plot twists in this treasure hunting mystery. Thank you to Revell for the opportunity to read this book. I was not required to provide a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I’m totally fascinated and amazed at the research, plot ideas and imaginations that authors come up with over and over and Hidden in the Night is certainly no exception. Multiple storylines were woven into this suspenseful, romance infused whodunnit that kept me guessing throughout. Former FBI Agent Ivy Elliott works with her mother searching for antique books and manuscripts. When she learns of an unpublished manuscript of Jack London and its location in Alaska, she heads straight out. Little did she know the danger and time required to pursue her quest. Alaska State Trooper Nolan Long winds up partnering with her in her search that also entails a missing Alaskan native young woman. Lots of obstacles including unpredictable Alaskan weather hinders their search. I was totally immersed in the story as well as feeling close to the characters. My time was invested in helping them with their search. A non-fiction aspect of this story blew me away and I researched myself to find out it was true. Microbes, bacteria and diseases are actually encased in icy glaciers that if global warming should melt them, could be catastrophic for the populations of the world. Wow! If you enjoy romantic suspense with danger lurking around every corner, this is your book! I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author through the publisher but was not required to write a review.

A priceless unpublished manuscript. A missing girl. Human trafficking. Terrorists. This is romantic suspense at its best! The adventure, danger, and intrigue kept me turning the pages but the special connection between Ivy and Nolan was the icing on the cake! They both were plagued by guilt from their pasts but the biggest hurdle was how this Florida-loving Sunshine Girl could ever adapt to life with a Mountain Man in Alaska. He loved the cold as much as she loved the heat. Should they try or would they forever regret letting each other go? This is the third book in the Missing in Alaska series but don't worry if you haven't read the first two. You can read it first and be completely engaged but reading it after the first two books provided me with a sense of completeness. I loved the reunion with Autumn, Grier, Trevor, and Carrie and I adored Ivy and Nolan's sweet but sizzling romance. My only dilemma? Should I read it non-stop to find the villain or take my time so that I could savor the magic? I may never physically visit Alaska, but the words of author Elizabeth Goddard helped me imagine the biting cold temperatures, the danger of avalanches, and the beauty of the Northern Lights. Armchair travel, mind-boggling suspense, and a compelling story laced with love, trust, and forgiveness--- what more can a reader hope for? I loved Hidden in the Night and I recommend it to all who enjoy romantic Christian suspense. I received a complimentary copy from the author and publisher. There was no obligation for a positive review. These are my own thoughts.

Another edge-of-your-seat-while-holding-your-breath suspense mystery with the perfect dose of romance, and I think this may be my favorite of the series. Ivy Elliott has returned to Alaska, where she once met Alaskan State Trooper Nolan Long, a man she was deeply attracted to but thought she’d never see again. We didn’t get to witness this first meeting, only catch references to it in this story, but Nolan had felt the attraction just as strongly…enough that he had intended to visit Ivy in Florida on his vacation. But he can’t tell her that now, with her in Alaska for reasons that have nothing to do with him. Thrust together into a case they are both connected to, Nolan and Ivy try to ignore their building feelings for each other and bring down the bad guys before more lives are taken. Murders. A Missing Girl. Human Trafficking. Sabotage. A Lost Jack London Manuscript. How do these pieces all fit together? It’s a race to discover the truth, and stay ahead of the danger. Ivy is a beautiful but tough woman with a difficult past, still trying to deal with the losses she’s suffered and the pain it has brought to her and her family. Her mom is all she has left. She struggles with trying to make up for past mistakes, and feels finding the missing girl will help alleviate her guilt. She refuses to give up. Nolan is the model of a protector. He takes his job very seriously, and every loss and failure he feels personally. Ivy recognizes this, and it doesn’t take her long to truly appreciate his character. ‘How about we protect each other?’ she urges him at one point, in one of my favorite lines from the book. I loved that Ivy values his protectiveness, rather than taking offense as some strong female leads do. They compliment each other well, and are respectful and considerate of each other. Nolan and Ivy both battle the darkness of their past failures and that understanding helps them draw together as a unit; to become a team in the present fight. The suspense and mystery gripped me from the opening scene, and continued throughout the story, as each element and character added to the tangled threads, keeping me guessing and reevaluating. I felt that blended well with the soft interludes where the romance came forward, keeping the relationship aspect moving alongside the drama. This is done seamlessly and never felt forced or out of place. Something different about this book, is that the story reads much of the time as if you should already know the characters and their situations and pasts, even though you don’t. Several times I felt like I was missing the important bits. I actually thought Nolan and Ivy’s first meeting must have been from a previous book in the series, the way it was being referenced to in this one, but I couldn’t remember reading about them before! Eventually, the author fills in more details and information, so you can ‘catch up’ on what you should know. This can be frustrating and confusing, but also lend to the mystery of the story. It takes some getting used to, and I probably wouldn’t like it in the majority of my reading, but this one worked. Though this is the last book in the series, it can be read as standalone, but also includes characters from the previous books. So I’d still recommend reading it in order to get their stories first! I received this book for an honest opinion. All thoughts are mine.

Hidden in the Night is the perfect conclusion to the Missing in Alaska series! I love the way that Goddard changes things up with this book so that instead of just a missing person, it’s a missing treasure that everyone’s really searching for here. What makes it even better is that’s not simply gold or money, like in most treasure hunts. This time it’s a book manuscript, and both the subject of the manuscript and the document itself lead to even more plot twists and tangles. Goddard artfully weaves in the difficult landscape and geography of Alaska, along along with a few sci-fi elements, to pull this story together. With exciting characters like Ivy and Nolan, this is a definite keeper. Though it’s set in wintertime Alaska, the snowy chill will cool you off this summer as you dive into this bookish adventure. Hidden in the Night is one you don’t want to miss. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. All opinions are my own.

Hidden In The Night is the third book in Elizabeth Goddard's Missing In Alaska series. It wraps the trilogy up nicely (each book can stand alone, but they do build upon each other). Ivy is in Alaska looking for a long-lost manuscript. Unfortunately the person who is thought to have it, is now missing. As Ivy searches she continuously runs into Alaska State Trooper, Nate (who also is searching for the missing person). They had met once before, but she didn't think anything would come of it since she lives in Florida and he's in Alaska. They kind of dance around each other until they figure out they need to work together to find the missing person...and to figure out how they really feel about each other. Hidden In The Night is a well-written, well-paced story with suspense, danger, interesting characters, Christian themes, and a romance between two deserving people. The author's descriptions of Alaska have me wanting to pack my bags and head there for a much needed vacation. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a well-written Christian Romantic Suspense.

Hidden in the Night by Elizabeth Goddard is the third book in the Missing in Alaska series. It can be read as a standalone for those new to the series (like me). I enjoyed the author’s picturesque descriptions of Alaska. I like suspense books set in Alaska. There is something about this remote cold wilderness that heightens the danger and adds to the suspense. Ivy Elliott is a unique woman. You can tell she loves her mother. Alaska State Trooper Nolan Long is a man of strong character. The mystery was intriguing. I liked that it revolved around a missing Jack London manuscript. I found the first half to be a little slow, but the pacing picked up in the latter part thanks to all the action. There is a good wrap up at the end, so I was not left with any lingering questions. The romance blended nicely with the suspense, but I could have done with less romance. It was not rushed, and it was clean. I can tell the author did her research for this series. She included some great details that add to the experience. Hidden in the Night is a suspenseful story with a great cast of characters, plenty of twists and turns, faith, and romance.

Elizabeth Goddard has done it again, but I’m not surprised! I was hooked before I finished the first page. Once I started reading, I didn’t want to stop. I had to know how the story would end. I’m sad to see this series end but am excited to read the next series the author is writing. With a blizzard on the way, Ivy is in a hurry to find the person she needs to speak with, at a remote cabin. She arrives at the cabin to find a single occupant bleeding on the floor. While she kneels to check on him, he whispers “find her,” he could only be talking about his niece, the person she was coming to see at the cabin. Jump ahead a bit, and she sees Nolan, she was hoping she’d run into him again but didn’t realize she would see him again so soon. He was the trooper she was told to contact regarding the death of the man in the cabin and the missing niece. Lina, the missing girl’s grandmother, asked Ivy to investigate her disappearance. Lina is afraid something bad happened to her as she hadn’t been able to get in contact with her or the uncle for several days. After Ivy talks with Nolan, he agrees to investigate the girl’s disappearance. They both decided that Glacier Bay National Park is where to start looking. They both end up there separately. While there they join forces in the search for the missing girl and the manuscript she’s carrying. The manuscript is the reason Ivy ended up in Shadow Gap Alaska. Fast forward a bit more and we find Ivy and Nolan along with Carrie, the local pilot who flew Ivy to Glacier Bay, holed up in Annie’s Lodge riding out the blizzard. With a killer on the loose they don’t know who they can trust outside of their small group. Will the blizzard stop in time for them to find the girl, the killer, and the manuscript? You’ll have to read the book to find out. You won’t be disappointed as there are twists and turns you don’t see coming.
On the edge of the seat suspense.

I received this book as an ARC with no expectation of a positive review. This is Ms. Goddard's third book in her Missing in Alaska trillogy. Ivy Elliott comes to Alaska to purchase the lost manuscript of Jack London's unpublished book. Ivy had met Nolan Long on her last trip to Alaska in the summer during a summer blizzard. Nolan had rescued Ivy and her mother. Ivy could not stop thinking about Nolan. Ivy had no idea that coming to Shadow Gap would set off a murder and mayham. This is one book that was so hard to put down. There are so many twists and turns thoughout the book that will keep you guessing until the end.

“Joining forces with Alaska State Trooper Nolan Long, Ivy must battle a blizzard, sabotage, and the worst of an Alaskan winter as the search goes on,” states the description on Amazon in Elizabeth Goddard’s novel, Hidden in the Night. ~ What ~ The third in the Missing in Alaska series, this three-hundred-and-fifty-two-page advanced reader copy targets those interested in a clean romantic suspense based in rural Alaska. With no profanity, topics of physical abuse, human trafficking, murder, and death may not be appropriate for immature readers. The ending includes acknowledgments, an excerpt of another book by the writer, the author’s biography, and advertisements. This continuing story involves Ivy Elliot, a rare-book collector who travels to Alaska to find and purchase a lost manuscript. When she runs into State Trooper Nolan Long, who had saved her previously and they had connected romantically, the two must track down why the one who has the manuscript is missing, people are being killed, and she becomes a target. As they put their relationship on ice, they’re attraction heats up as they get closer to the killer. ~ Why ~ Alaska is an amazing state with a lot to offer besides its gorgeous scenery. I appreciate how the author weaved the harshness of winter, complete with a gap wind, with the rugged terrain that the protagonists had to deal with. Having been to Alaska, I love the story’s vivid descriptions of the land, terrain, and beauty. The plot has many twists and turns as the two uncover the real story behind the missing manuscript. It can be a stand-alone read in the series even with a few of its prior characters involved. ~ Why Not ~ Those who do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ may not be interested in this story, but it’s limited in its references of praying to God and Bible verses. There are plenty of characters (some from the previous two books), making it a little confusing. ~ Wish ~ It would help if a list of characters were provided at the beginning of the book. I wish the book gave the eternal plan of salvation, and I prefer all pronouns of God capitalized for reverence. ~ Want ~ If you like romantic suspense thrillers, this third book in the series will bring chills to your spine as Ivy and Nolan uncover the truth while melting away their fears of the past. I received a complimentary copy from Revell through Interviews & Reviews. I was under no obligation to give a positive review.

This book hooked me right in from page 1. Ivy is on the job looking for a missing manuscript. But wow! There is much more to the story than what first appears. Nolan Long and Ivy have some big adventure ahead, including an Alaska blizzard and lots of action going forward. The suspense alone will keep you reading as you quickly turn the pages to see what happens next. I love the Alaskan setting of this fascinating book. I feel as though I need to go there myself! This author is amazing and knows how to keep readers captivated. I highly recommend this story! I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

What a fantastic conclusion to the outstanding Missing in Alaska series with non-stop action and layers of unpredictable danger not only from the “bad guys”, but also from the Alaskan terrain and weather! The complex, skillfully crafted plot’s twists and turns kept me turning pages. The suspenseful mystery centers around a missing girl and a rare, lost Jack London manuscript; however, there is a lot more going on casting a wider net and upping the threat level. Amazing historical detail and vivid descriptions bring the story to life. The deftly sketched beautiful, but harsh, Southeast Alaskan setting in itself intensifies the suspense. Add in a diverse cast of memorable, richly crafted characters, a bit of sweet second chance romance, and a light faith thread which come together perfectly with the drama and setting to make an exceptionally satisfying and entertaining read. I love this book and the series and highly recommend them. I received a copy of this book from the author/publisher with no obligation to write a positive review. This book gets an absolute must-read five plus stars from me because it has everything I enjoy in romantic suspense and then some! The plot includes a missing young woman, a missing Jack London manuscript and a murder, plus romance that is just starting to simmer. The plot is deeply immersive and I was quickly engaged in cheering for Nolan and Ivy, hoping that they could find the missing Danna unharmed. The research made the story authentically fascinating, especially the information about the glaciers and the mystery surrounding the manuscript. The entire story gave me a sense of being there, experiencing the building tension and the necessity to hurry before disaster struck. The multi-layered plot teasingly revealed the details methodically and with so much dramatic action that the book was unputdownable. Infused with spiritual truth and a sparkle of a beginning romance, the last book in the Missing in Alaska series blew me away with its realism and the sharp writing that made it a compelling and edgy read for me. I enjoyed the characters and was stunned by the surprising revelation of the identity of the villain. I really enjoyed finding out facts about this scenic and mysterious state of Alaska; the author paints a vivid picture that makes it easy to imagine the setting and place myself into the story. There are plenty of clues and red herrings and so much happening to favorite characters that I was intrigued by the fact that I had no idea what to expect next. This book has intense suspense that is brilliantly written and cleverly paced. I am sorry to see the series end here, but I have no doubt that the author will create a new series that is equally well-crafted and totally mesmerizing. This one is a nail-biter for sure! From the moment Ivy steps foot in Alaska, leaving the warmth of Florida behind, danger is around every corner. It seemed like such a good idea to fly to Alaska and purchase the long lost manuscript for her mother. Somehow…things did not go as planned. The author does a fabulous job of keeping you on the edge of your seat. It seems like endless subplots keep you going in circles. From sabotage and murder, threats and mechanical failures and what seems to be typical Alaska weather, you begin to wonder if getting out alive is even an option. This early copy of Missing in Alaska #3 was received through Revell, Baker Publishing Group and NetGalley. These thoughts are my own and were in no way solicited.
Fantastic Book!!

Hidden In The Night is another excellent book by Elizabeth Goddard. Ivy has left the FBI because her Mom is sick. With her Mom running a rare book store, she sends Ivy to Alaska to look for a rare manuscript. While she's there, she starts being targeted. Then, the one person who has a lead on the manuscript goes on the run for her life. Enter State Trooper Nolan, who Ivy is very interested in, but she won't act on it, who saves her and then stays with her to help find the missing girl and the manuscript. Finding out exactly what the manuscript really contained was a total surprise. This story takes you through lots of close calls, twists, and turns and has an exciting ending. This is a book not to be missed.
